When does Guanyin borrow books?

A: Borrowing Day is Guanyin Borrowing Day.

On the 26th day of the first lunar month, Xiqiao Mountain in Nanhai, Guangdong, and Guanyin Mountain in Dongguan continued for thousands of years. On the same day, Xiqiao Mountain held a series of traditional folk activities in China, such as opening a treasury, delivering rice during the Spring Festival and praying for blessings during the Spring Festival.

During the Spring Festival, 65,438+million believers from the Pearl River Delta, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan will flock to Guanyin Mountain to climb and pray, borrow money from Guanyin Bodhisattva and pray for a peaceful and auspicious new year. The whole Guanyin Square is crowded with people, and pilgrims who ask for incense and pray for blessings line up in a long line. The scene is particularly lively. In China, many residents of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao will come to the statue of Guanyin to pray on the "Guanyin Opening Day", hoping that the new year will be rich in money and wealth.

The origin of borrowing the library: According to legend, when Guanyin practiced, there were 500 protectors. In order to assess the spiritual achievements of Master Guanyin, they became monks and went to Kannonji to beg for food.

When Guanyin saw a monk asking for help, he opened a warehouse to let the monk enjoy all kinds of exquisite vegetarian dishes. 500 monks filled their stomachs, and the rest of the food was left to the good believers who came to visit.

Since then, the evening of the 25th day of the first lunar month has been designated as "Guanyin Library Opening Day". On this day every year, thousands of believers in Qian Qian gather in Kannonji to pray and borrow the library, hoping to prosper after borrowing money.
