Composition of Puxian Myths and Legends in Jiuli Lake

The story of He Jiuxian is widely circulated in Puxian. There are many place names in Puxian that are related to Nine Immortals.

According to legend, during the reign of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, there was a man named Xia in Lujiang, Anhui Province, who gave birth to nine sons, but all eight of them were blind except one eye in the middle of the biggest forehead. One year, nine brothers followed their father to Linchuan, Jiangxi Province to visit Liu Anjia, the king of Huainan. After dinner, I heard my father and Liu An whispering in class and learned that Huai nun Tzu was going to rebel. They advised their father not to collude with Liu An, but he wouldn't listen.

The nine brothers had to carry their father away overnight and went through all kinds of hardships to Xinghua seaside. It's late autumn and the maple leaves are about to drip. They picked maple leaves, broke maple branches, set up a gazebo on the hillside and spent the night in the gazebo. Later, this place was called "Fengting".
