Overview of Locking Dragon Column

Suolongzhu is located in the staggered gorge on the south bank of the Yangtze River in the west of Wushan County, 8 miles from the county seat and about 1 miles from Daixi Town. Daixi River flows into the Yangtze River from the south, with deep canyons and jagged mountains on both sides. On the rock mound in the east, there stands a round stone pillar with a thin top and a thick bottom and a height of about 6 meters, called Lock Dragon Column. To the west of the gorge, there is a semi-circular rock, which looks up like a stone drum. It is said that this is the place where Dayu once locked the dragon in water control, and it is called the Dragon Cutting Platform.
