Journey to the West: What are the stories of Sun Wukong?
1. The monkey learned the art and got his name.
Sun Wukong was originally the Monkey King, with no name or surname. The name "Sun Wukong" was given to him by Patriarch Bodhi. The Monkey King traveled across the ocean from Huaguo Mountain to Xieyue Sanxing Cave in Fangcun Mountain, Lingtai, where he met Patriarch Bodhi. According to its image, the Patriarch gave it the surname "Sun". According to its ranking, it was of the generation of "Enlightenment", so the Patriarch asked it, "How about giving it a Dharma name of 'Sun Wukong'?"
The Monkey King smiled and said: "Okay! Okay! Okay! From now on, I will call him Sun Wukong!" From then on, we no longer called him monkey, but called him Sun Wukong.
2. Guan Feng Bi Ma Wen
The Monkey King defeated the Demon King. Huaguo Mountain was filled with joy. The little monkeys performed martial arts every day and were very happy. Wukong broke into the Dragon Palace of the East China Sea and asked the Dragon King for the sea-suppressing needle - the Ruyi Golden Cudgel. Although this stick weighs 13,500 kilograms, it can support the sky and the ground. The small needle can be hidden in the ear.
Wukong was drunk and fell asleep. Suddenly, he saw two ghosts coming to claim his life. Wukong made a fuss in the Yama Palace and ordered the judge to take out the book of life and death, and crossed out the monkeys' birth and death months in one stroke. The Dragon King and the King of Hell went to the Jade Emperor to complain. The Jade Emperor sent Taibai Jinxing to the lower realm to appease the Monkey King and asked him to serve as an official in heaven. Wukong went happily. Under Wu Quxingjun's teasing, the Jade Emperor made him Bima Wen.
When Wukong realized that he was just a horseman, he turned back to Huaguo Mountain in anger, raised the banner, and called himself the Monkey King. The Jade Emperor couldn't tolerate it, so he asked King Tota and Nezha to lead the heavenly soldiers and generals to kill Huaguo Mountain.
3. Learn magical powers in the middle of the night
We all know that Sun Wukong can somersault thousands of miles, but do you know how he learned this magical power? You also know that besides Somersault Cloud, does he have any magical powers? Patriarch Bodhi often lectured in Sanxing Cave, but few of his disciples could truly understand the mysteries.
On the contrary, Sun Wukong sometimes performs somersaults and "monkey tricks" when he hears the wonderful things, showing joy. After the Patriarch found out, he saw that he was the one who could learn magical powers, so he beat him three ring rulers on the spot. Others think this is punishing the monkey.
Unexpectedly, it was actually a hint that he came to the ancestor to learn magical powers in the middle of the night. Monkeys are also clever and keep their expressions calm. They get up quietly in the middle of the night and learn skills from their teachers. Finally, he learned the seventy-two transformations of Tiangang, somersault clouds, and the art of immortality.
4. Wukong showed off his skills and was driven down the mountain
It is said that Wukong learned the art of immortality. But it's not just monkeys who want to live forever. His senior brothers didn't have the opportunity to learn such magical powers, so they just lied to it. How did you learn the art of immortality? How to avoid the three disasters and nine disasters that immortals must face?
Monkeys don’t understand human nature either. When people ask, they will answer, and they will change their behavior for others to see. Patriarch Bodhi looked at it and said, oh, why did you show this ability to others? What if someone covets your ability and wants to harm you? Drive it down the mountain quickly and let it go back to an uninhabited place like Huaguo Mountain. In fact, it is also protecting it.
5. The Great Sage makes trouble in the Heavenly Palace
The Jade Emperor was afraid that the Monkey King would cause trouble, so he tricked the Monkey King into going to heaven and named him Bima Wen. After knowing that he had been deceived, the Monkey King returned to Huaguo Mountain to contend with the Heavenly Palace. King Li Tian led his troops to capture the Monkey King and was defeated. The Jade Emperor had no choice but to designate the Monkey King as the "Monkey King".
The Queen Mother held a peach banquet, but she did not invite the Monkey King. The monkey king was furious, made a big fuss in Yaochi, and stole the golden elixir. The Jade Emperor sent his troops to capture the Monkey King. The Monkey King was captured in a conspiracy. The alchemy furnace not only failed to burn the monkey king to death, but also made him piercing eyes. The Monkey King showed his power and beat the Heavenly Palace to pieces, which frightened the Jade Emperor and made him run away in confusion.
Sun Wukong is one of the famous mythological characters in China and comes from "Journey to the West", one of the four famous classics. His ancestral home is Dongsheng Shenzhou. He was born from the fairy stone since the beginning of the world. He became the king of monkeys because he led a group of monkeys into the water curtain cave and was respected as the "Monkey King".
