The story of uncle ying Kao
Empress Wu Jiang of Zheng secretly helped her second uncle Duan to plot to attack Zhengcheng and seize the throne. Zheng Zhuanggong saw through the plot and put down the uncle Duan's rebellion. She moved Empress Wu Jiang out of the harem and settled in Yingdi (now northeast of Xiangcheng County), vowing, "We will never meet again until we reach the grave." Soon, Zheng Zhuanggong regretted that he thought he was the king of a country, killed his younger brother and chased the queen mother away, for fear of being laughed at, and was charged with being unkind, unjust and unfilial. However, I have said that I will never meet each other in the grave, and there is nothing I can do.
When Uncle Ying Kao heard about this incident, he went to visit Zheng Zhuanggong on the grounds of sending game. Zheng Zhuanggong feted him. Ying Kao-shu doesn't eat meat. Zheng Zhuanggong asked him. He said, "My mother has eaten all my food, but she hasn't tasted the meat given by the monarch. Please stay and let her taste it." Zheng Zhuanggong said, "You can still save food for your mother, but I can't." Uncle Ying Kao asked, "Dare I ask, why did your master say that?" Zheng Zhuanggong answered the reason and said that he regretted it very much. Uncle Ying Kao gave advice to Lord Zhuang and said, "Master, what's so difficult about this? If you send someone to dig a deep ditch, dig out the grave and meet your mother at the grave, who will gossip? " Zheng Zhuanggong listened, so he sent Uncle Ying Kao to lead 5 able-bodied men to the foot of Quyi Niupi Mountain (now the east of Wugang Village, Dongcun Township, changge city) to choose a treasure trove, dig more than ten feet deep, and sure enough, the grave gushed out. Ying Kao's uncle sent Empress Wu Jiang to live indoors at the edge of the grave, asked Zheng Zhuanggong to meet her mother indoors at the edge of the grave, and welcomed Empress Wu Jiang back to Zheng Cheng's harem. Chinese people clap their hands and say yes. Afterwards, Zheng Zhuanggong saw that Ying Kao's uncle was both loyal and filial, and he was able to be both civil and military, so he was promoted to Doctor Zheng, and he and his son took charge of the relieving together.
in 712 BC, Zheng Zhuanggong joined forces with Qi and Lu military forces to crusade against Xu. Before cutting Xu, Duke Zhuang chose auspicious day to sacrifice to the ancestral temple and held a military parade in the teaching ground. During the military parade, Zheng Zhuanggong made a banner one foot long and one foot wide, and the flagpole was three feet long. I said to the generals, "Who can walk as usual with a banner in his hand, I will worship him as a pioneer and give him chariots." Uncle Ying Kao can not only pick up the banner, but also swing it from left to right, whirring and making people stunned. Zheng Zhuanggong was overjoyed and said, "It's really like a tiger general. You should give Dr. Ying a pioneer." And gave the chariot to Uncle Ying Kao. At this time, the doctors of the Gongzu (the same family as the monarch) refused to accept it and went forward to seize Uncle Ying's chariot. Uncle Ying Kao flew away in a chariot, but he couldn't catch up. He said bitterly, "This thief regards my surname as nobody ... I have to kill him." When Zhuang Gong saw this, he praised Zi for his bravery and gave him another chariot.
In July, Zheng, Qi and Lu attacked the capital of Xu. The small Xu capital was surrounded by the military forces of the Three Kingdoms. All the soldiers of the state of Zheng fought bravely, and everyone rushed to the top. Uncle Ying Kao, a doctor of the State of Zheng, was a pioneer officer. He was secretly angry and wanted to display his skills and make contributions in the battle. He boarded the chariot, held the banner under his rib, jumped hard and boarded the city head. Seeing Uncle Ying Kao boarded Xu Cheng, Zi Zi was afraid that he would take the lead, so he tightened the bowstring, secretly aimed at Uncle Ying Kao, and shot him from behind, hitting Uncle Ying Kao right in the middle of the back. Uncle Ying Kao let out a cry and fell to the gate and died.
Zheng Zhuanggong missed Uncle Ying Kao's loyalty to the king and filial piety to his mother, and died tragically, which made people set up a temple in Yinggu to commemorate him, and later generations set up a temple at the foot of Niupi Mountain in Quyi to commemorate him.
Su Shi and others all have poems to praise. Su Shi's "Uncle Ying Kao Temple" said:
"Human feelings are hard to recover, but nature can be subtle.
