Morphological characteristics:

Golden toad, the male frog is smaller, with a body length of 28 mm, and the female frog is larger, with a body length of about 39 mm, a green back and a white belly; There are obvious dark brown fine lines from the corner of the back to the upper shoulder; There are black spots on the side of the body or connected with thick black lines, or arranged in intermittent rows. The head is wider than the length of the head; The snout is wide, round and high, with obvious snout edge. There are two small nostrils above the snout, and the eye spacing is greater than the nose spacing. The eardrum behind the eyes is round and clear. The back skin is smooth, the chest, abdomen and thighs are densely covered with flat warts, and the pharynx is slightly smooth. The forelimbs, palms and fingers are about half of the body length, with suction cups and transverse grooves at the ends of the fingers and slight webbed at the base. The hind limbs are longer, the toe end is the same as the finger end, but the sucker is slightly smaller. The web of the outer three toes is more developed than that of the inner three toes, and there are small warts in the palm, which is limp and weak. The male frog has a single swallowing external acoustic sac, and its pharynx is dark, which swells into a ball when singing; There is a light brown wedding pad at the root of the first finger of the forelimb.
