Meet Suzhou
among the different scenic spots in Suzhou, I prefer Dushu Lake, especially the sunset in Dushu Lake. Dushu Library is only one road away from our school, and it is built next to Dushu Lake, so I often go there to read books, walk to the intersection of Ren 'ai Road and Xinghu Street, watch the traffic coming and going at the intersection, wait for the traffic lights, and rush through the zebra crossing. When there are many cars, I often have to walk to the middle of the road, wait for the next green light, and then cross the other half of the road to go back and forth between the school restaurant and the library. After reading in the library, I will go for a walk on the edge of Dushu Lake. At dusk, the sun sets a little from the lake, changing from white to gold and then to red sunset, setting off the lake from sparkling to golden, and finally being dyed red. Except when the weather is bad, there are wedding photos taken by Dushu Lake all year round. Girls in white wedding dresses are dancing with veils or shawls, or posing with lovers. Photographers try to freeze their moving moments with their lenses. Walking along the path by the lake, the sun shines obliquely through the cracks in the trees, and some people are recording the beautiful scenery they meet with cameras or mobile phones. Go to a place with benches and steps by the lake, and sit down on the bench. Here, you can see the whole lake and the tall buildings in the distance. When there is wind, you will hear the sound of the lake beating the steps. Go on, through a small forest, and you will arrive at Dushu Lake Church, a gothic building with distinctive features. At night, the lights are flashing, which is even more spectacular. There are more people who usually take wedding photos here, with the church as the background, as if they had entered a fairy tale: the prince and princess came to their castle. If you are in a bad mood, go for a walk by Dushu Lake. The wide lake, beautiful sunset, gentle breeze and happy lovers, accompanied by church bells, will make you forget your troubles and believe that life is full of hope and beauty.
Besides Dushu Lake, Jinji Lake, which is connected with it, is also a place worth visiting. In addition to the natural landscape, Jinji Lake is surrounded by many modern commercial centers and landmark buildings in Suzhou. Times Square, Oriental Gate and Eslite Bookstore are the new city labels of Suzhou. I haven't been to Yuanrong Times Square. The Oriental Gate is commonly known as the Autumn Pants Gate, because the building looks like autumn pants, hence the name. In the evening, the Jinji Lake Music Fountain opposite the Oriental Gate has a grand scene. Whenever it is open, it is surrounded by water, and the various water types and colorful lights, accompanied by various styles of background music, bring unforgettable visual and auditory experiences. I have been to Suzhou Eslite Bookstore once. It is a fusion of business and culture. There are clearly priced goods, which makes people feel shy and has a scholarly literary atmosphere, which makes people linger in it. "There is heaven above and Suzhou and Hangzhou below." Suzhou not only has rare beauty and ancient city with strong culture, but also has these brand-new prosperous city features.
Of course, the temperament of Suzhou is still reflected in the flowing water of small bridges, the ancient city with white walls and tiles, and the classical gardens with unique architectural styles. The places I have been to the most are Pingjiang Road, Guanqian Street, Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Forest and Suzhou Museum, which are representatives of classical gardens. Take bus No.178 from Wenhui Talent Apartment in Dushu Lake Higher Education Zone. Along the way, there are more and more people in the car, and they are squeezed around. After about an hour, they get off at Guanqian Street or Suzhou Museum Station, and pass through an alley to Pingjiang Road. On the street with bluestone pavement, one side is adjacent to a small river, and boatmen on the river are holding boats to take tourists to play. At regular intervals, a crescent-shaped bridge spans, connecting Pingjiang Road with an unknown alley. On the other side are some shops, special snack bars, selling Soviet-style cakes, sugar people, roast pig's trotters and roast duck intestines, old yogurt and octopus balls. There are souvenir shops, silk shops, porcelain shops, etc. In addition, there are two bookstores in the "City of Cats in the Sky". When I went there once, I met a black cat in one of the bookstores. It was fat and shiny, and I thought it was like a cat essence running out of Miyazaki Hayao's cartoons. Later, I went there twice, but I never met the big black cat again. Strolling along Pingjiang Road feels like going back to a certain era in the past, and visiting between small bridges, flowing water, houses in the south of the Yangtze River and quaint shops, even the bustling crowd seems to have become slow. Similar to Pingjiang Road, Shantang Street belongs to the ancient city of Suzhou, but its history and culture are not as well preserved as Pingjiang Road, and most scenic spots have been restored in recent years. The night view of Shantang Street is beautiful, suitable for night tour.
Humble Administrator's Garden is one of the scenic spots that most people must visit when they go to Suzhou. Many ancient gardens were built after the frustrated literati resigned and retired. They were built in downtown areas, with mountains and rivers, flowers and trees, pavilions and pavilions in the gardens. The Humble Administrator's Garden was built by Wang Xianchen, a retired official of the Ming Dynasty. Later, the ownership changed several times, and the garden was abandoned and rebuilt many times. Until now, it has become a world cultural heritage and a famous tourist attraction. From the gate of the Humble Administrator's Garden, I walked through one corridor after another and walked into one house after another. I felt that all the houses, corridors, pavilions and pavilions here were connected, winding and winding, and I was worried that there would be no way to the front, but I could always find an arch or a corridor leading to the other side in a hidden corner. Looking out from any window in the house or porch is almost a perfect landscape painting, with rockeries, pools, stones, flowers and trees in the yard. Finally, I went around to the bonsai garden of Humble Administrator's Garden, where there are all kinds of bonsai with strange shapes and eye-catching. Before going to a place, it is best to know more about its history and culture, such as Humble Administrator's Garden, how it was built, what kind of historical ups and downs it experienced later, and what kind of cultural connotation its architecture has, so that you may be able to find more songs about everything there when you are in it. I didn't know much about it before I went to Humble Administrator's Garden, so my understanding can only stay in sensory appreciation. Lion Forest is located next to Humble Administrator's Garden, which is also an ancient garden. Although the lion forest area is relatively small, it is rugged with strange rocks, which makes it more interesting. My impression of Lion Grove stays on a rockery, which is made up of many stones. Although the mountain is small, there are all kinds of trees, caves and streams and waterfalls, and in the process of climbing it, I can turn from one hill to another, and drill through a cave to the foot of another mountain or halfway up the mountain. It's really amazing that the builders can concentrate so many landscapes in this small rockery. Followed by the Lion Forest is the Suzhou Museum, which, as a masterpiece of I.M. Pei, has become a major feature of the museum by combining modern geometric modeling with traditional architectural elements in the south of the Yangtze River. Many people come here just to see its beauty, and the Suzhou Museum is open to the public free of charge. During holidays, tourists who go there often queue up in long lines.
For Suzhou, besides enjoying its scenic spots and historical sites, there are countless historical cultures worth learning. Tiger Hill is such a place with historical and cultural connotations. Su Shi's sentence "It's a pity not to visit Tiger Hill in Suzhou" has become a publicity card for Tiger Hill Scenic Area. As the "first scenic spot in Wuzhong", Tiger Hill is a collection of cultural relics from past dynasties. Suzhou was the birthplace of the State of Wu in the Spring and Autumn Period. Today's Suzhou was created because of the city built by He Lv and Wu Zixu. Today, you can still find the footprints left by the State of Wu in Suzhou. The names Xumen and Changmen, Ganjiang Road and Mo Xie Road are all due to the culture and legends of the State of Wu. Walking into the Tiger Hill Scenic Area, climbing along the mountain stone road and passing through the Broken Beam Hall, it is named after the main beam of the mountain gate is broken. Going forward, there is a big stone that seems to have been split from the middle by the roadside. It is said that it was opened by the King of Wu's sword test. Further up, there is a place called Hanhan Spring, whose name comes from the legend about a young monk named Hanhan, as well as many legendary relics such as the Tomb of the True Mother. Before arriving at Tiger Hill Jianchi, there was an arch that read "Don't have a cave", and the words "Tiger Hill Jianchi" were engraved on the stone wall next to the arch. You can see the whole picture of Jianchi from the arch, which is not very big, but the wall of the pool is steep and the pool is deep. It is said that the tomb of He Lv, the prince of Wu, is just below the Jianchi, and there are original works left by calligraphers of past dynasties on the stone wall. Further up, there is the tiger hill at the top of Huqiu Mountain, which was built in the Song Dynasty and is called the Leaning Tower of Pisa in China. In addition to these monuments, Huqiu Mountain has beautiful scenery, with ancient stone steps covered with moss. Towering trees, covering the sky and the sun, antique; Mountain stream, flowing slowly. Perhaps it is precisely because it is a treasure trove of geomantic omen that there will be ancient emperors buried there, and there will be literati and celebrities of past dynasties leaving footprints there.
In addition to these places, there are many places worth exploring in Suzhou, such as Hanshan Temple outside Gusu, Shangfangshan National Forest Park, Mudu Ancient Town and Yongzhi Ancient Town. What I remember most about Suzhou is taking Express 2, from school to dormitory. It is to go for a walk behind the school in the afternoon after class, and walk from a small bridge to the other side of the river to bask in the sun; Take a group photo in front of the flowers and plants in front of the school; It's from our school to the people next to us to see their peacocks, swans and flocks of white pigeons; It's autumn walking on the sidewalk covered with golden ginkgo garden in Linquan Street …
