Strong cold air swept through most parts of China, and the temperature plummeted 16 degrees.
As the cold air continues to move eastward, the windy cooling area will "move" from the northwest to the northeast and north China. On the 20th, the Central Meteorological Observatory continued to release the news of gale cooling. Affected by the eastward movement of strong cold air, there will be four to six winds in most parts of central and eastern China in the next two days, and some areas in Xinjiang will have sand or floating dust. After the cold air front passes, the temperature in the eastern, northeastern and northern parts of Inner Mongolia Hetao will drop by 6-10 degrees Celsius, and the temperature drop in parts of northeastern Inner Mongolia and northern part of Northeast China will reach 10-12 degrees Celsius. Temperatures in Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jianghan, Jiangnan, South China and Southwest China will also drop by four to six degrees, and some areas can reach eight degrees.
The appearance of cold air not only brought strong winds to cool down the weather, but also became one of the "culprits" in making rain. Affected by the cold air moving eastward and southward, the whole country will usher in a wide range of rainfall today. The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that there will be small to moderate rain or showers in the central and eastern parts of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the northeast, the eastern part of North China, Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jianghan, Jiangnan, South China and Southwest China in the next three days. Among them, there will be heavy rain in parts of Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Chongqing, Guizhou, western Sichuan Plateau, Yunnan, Fujian and Guangdong, and there will be heavy rain locally.
