Marin Light Tree is the name of wild Lagerstroemia speciosa in Sichuan and Guizhou, and its Latin name is excelsa (Dode) Chun. It is a deciduous tree of Lagerstroemia with a height of 20-30m and a DBH1m. The bark is grayish brown and peeling off one by one. The leaves are opposite, membranous, ovoid or broadly elliptic, the top suddenly shrinks, wide and short, the base is obtuse, the sides are unequal, the edges are wavy, the upper part is dark green and hairless, and the lower part is pilose. Later, except along the vein, the rest became hairless and the anthers were round; Ovary globose, glabrous, capsule globose-ovoid, seeds no longer than 3 mm. Flowering in April and fruiting in July.
