How should pigeons recover from injury?
1, wash the wound with salt water and disinfect it with iodine.
If the wound is relatively large, it can be sutured with needle and thread, and it should be strictly disinfected and carefully cared to prevent infection and inflammation. Normal pigeons are not prone to inflammation because of their high body temperature, but they should be disinfected and grounded to prevent the wound from cracking, especially the chest skin laceration.
2. Pigeon fracture is the most common, which is a non-simple fracture, often accompanied by skin and muscle laceration and fracture. It must be fixed by surgery, and it usually takes about 2-3 weeks to recover.
3, wing fracture dressing surgery:
Bandage making. Cut the 7-inch square cloth into an "I" shape, cut two oval holes in the middle, and stick your feet out of the holes to facilitate walking. When one wing is injured, the other part is cut off for the uninjured side (shown by dotted line). X-shaped bandage is used to wrap thigh fracture and open dislocation of foot joint.
I-shaped bandages are used to wrap broken wings, good wings and good feet exposed. Wrap the broken foot with an "X" bandage, and the good foot and wings will be exposed.
