Free ticket policy for high-speed rail

Legal analysis:

The height of high-speed rail children is below 1.2 free of charge. The height here is the net height after taking off shoes. Children over 1.2m 1.5m can enjoy half the face price of train tickets. In addition, children whose height is between 1.2m and 1.5m are not allowed to purchase tickets separately. They must accompany an adult to buy tickets. Train tickets that enjoy the preferential policy of half price for children tickets will be marked with the word "children". Generally, the passenger ticket, certificate and person must be the same, except for children who travel free of charge and children who hold children tickets. In addition to the free height requirement for high-speed rail children, it is also stipulated that when the height exceeds 1.5 meters, children should not enjoy the price of high-speed rail tickets, but should buy full-price tickets.

Legal basis:

Article 19 of the Regulations on Railway Passenger Transport: Under normal circumstances, the carrier does not accept children to ride alone (unless the students who go to school by train and the carrier agree to be supervised during the journey). Children who walk with adults and are 1.2- 1.5m in height are entitled to half-price tickets, accelerated tickets and air-conditioned tickets (hereinafter referred to as children tickets). You should buy a full-price ticket if it exceeds 1.5 meters. Every adult passenger can bring a child whose height is less than1.2m free of charge. If there is more than one child, you should buy a child ticket for the excess. The seats of children's tickets should be the same as those of adult tickets, and their arrival should not be farther than that of adult tickets.

Children who ride for free should buy a full-price berth ticket when they use the berth alone, and a half-price ticket when there is air conditioning.
