How to adjust fit valve
Honda Fit valve clearance adjustment method is:
1. Remove cylinder head cover. Put the UP mark on the camshaft timing sprocket at the top, align the top dead center slot of the camshaft timing sprocket with the upper edge of the cylinder head, and make the piston of 1 cylinder at the top dead center (TDC);
2. Insert a feeler gauge with appropriate thickness between the adjusting screw and the end of the valve stem, and move the feeler gauge back and forth, so that you can feel slight resistance. Intake valve clearance is 0. 15~0. 19mm, and exhaust valve clearance is 0.26 ~ 0.30mm;;
3. If the resistance is too large or too small, when moving the feeler gauge, loosen the lock nut and turn the adjusting screw until the resistance is appropriate. Tighten the lock nut and recheck the valve clearance;
4. Turn the crankshaft clockwise so that the pistons of the third cylinder, the fourth cylinder and the second cylinder are located at the top dead center (TDC) in turn, and check the valve clearance of each cylinder. If necessary, make adjustments;
5. Install the cylinder head cover. Start the engine and check whether it works properly. If necessary, check and adjust again.
