Acts that should be punished:

2. Radio, television, newspapers, telecommunications and other media fail to broadcast or publish disastrous weather warnings and meteorological disaster warning signals as required.

3. spreading false or illegal disastrous weather information and meteorological disasters.

4. Media such as radio and television and communication networks such as fixed networks, mobile networks and the Internet do not use the real-time early warning signals provided by meteorological stations affiliated to the competent meteorological departments.

5. Disseminating weather forecast to the society without using the latest weather forecast provided by the meteorological station affiliated to the local competent meteorological department.

6. spreading false weather forecast.

7. Disseminating the weather forecast to the society without indicating the name of the issuing unit and the issuing time.

8. changing the contents and conclusions of the weather forecast without authorization, causing adverse social reactions or certain impacts.

Legal basis

Article 38 of the Meteorological Law of the People's Republic of China

In case of any of the following acts, the relevant competent meteorological department shall, within its authority, order it to make corrections, give it a warning and may concurrently impose a fine of less than 5, yuan:

(1) Unlawful release of public weather forecasts and severe weather warnings to the public;

(2) Radio, television, newspapers, telecommunications and other media disseminate public meteorological forecasts and severe weather warnings to the society without using timely meteorological information provided by meteorological offices and stations affiliated to the competent meteorological departments;

(3) The meteorological data used by the units engaged in atmospheric environmental impact assessment when conducting atmospheric environmental impact assessment of construction projects do not meet China's meteorological technical standards.
