Buddhist monk memorial hall of Buddha source
The memorial hall for the old monk of Foyuan, a modern eminent monk in China, was completed at Dajue Temple in Yunmen Mountain, Shaoguan, Guangdong Province, and the opening ceremony was held on February 2th, 212 (29th day of the first lunar month). A number of ceremonies were also held at the same time, such as the commemoration of the 3rd anniversary of the death of an old Buddhist monk from Foyuan, the Yankou Buddhism of the 21st Master and the 2th anniversary celebration of Yunmen Buddhist College.
More than 1, elders, great masters and good-faith pilgrims from all over China, including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as overseas mountains such as Singapore and South Korea, made a special trip to express their memory and admiration for the old Buddhist monk. Jing Hui, the vice president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, and Chun Yi, a great monk, and other 66 famous monks at home and abroad cut the ribbon for the completion of the memorial hall.
Foyuan Memorial Hall is located at the foot of Yunmen Mountain and the bank of Guihua Lake, about 4 kilometers away from Shaoguan City, surrounded by pines and bamboos and accompanied by clear water and green mountains, with an elegant environment. The site was chosen and arranged by Zhao Lingzhi, vice president of the Chinese Zhouyi Association and master of geomantic omen, and Ming Xiang, the abbot of Yunmen Temple.
foyuan memorial hall covers an area of about 3, square meters, and it is an antique building with stone and wood structure as the main body and gray-white and gray-blue as the main colors. Elder Yicheng, the president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, wrote the horizontal plaque of the memorial hall, with the inscription of the abbot of Yunmen Temple, Ming Xiang, on both sides: inheriting Yunmen clan vein and carrying forward the family style of the ancestors. In the memorial hall, there is a 2-meter-high sitting statue of an old Buddhist monk who is said to have been carved with ancient wood buried underground for more than 4 thousand years. Many people in Hong Kong have given great support to the completion of the memorial hall.
