What should talus fracture notice?
2. Raising the affected limb slightly above the body level can promote venous reflux to reduce swelling and fracture healing, which has nothing to do with supine;
3. The degree of recovery is related to the intensity of functional exercise. Under normal circumstances, the joint movement should be restored about 30~45 days after the plaster cast is taken out, but some patients still feel a little stiff and painful, and recover in about half a year. However, some patients are complicated with traumatic arthritis, which may cause some dull pain and discomfort under the conditions of excessive activity, long-term walking and rainy days.
4. It is suggested to check X-ray regularly, because the talus is not supported by well-known blood vessels and nourished by capillaries in the joint capsule, so the fracture is very easy to be nonunion (nonunion).
I wish you a speedy recovery.
