Magical plan: Liu Bowen’s story of slaying the dragon’s veins
During the Ming Dynasty, there was a prince who was a high official in the court. Everyone called him Prince Li Jing. King Li Jing offended the imperial court and angered the emperor, so he was sent to the west. After he was demoted to Xitou, he settled down in Xiangtang (east of Kawakou Town, Minhe County today). Although the mountains and rivers here are beautiful and it is a good place for self-cultivation, King Li Jing was resentful and often thought of returning to the capital, but he never had the chance.
One spring, King Li Jing’s father died. A Taoist came to the funeral. The Taoist asked King Li Jing to shoot three arrows to the east on the 100th day after his father’s death. He led his troops back to the capital. After hearing this, King Li Jing kept his filial piety with peace of mind and prepared to lead troops into the capital when the time came. When he had kept his filial piety for ninety-nine days, Mrs. Li no longer wanted to keep her filial piety, so she urged King Li Jing: "I have kept it for ninety-nine days. It doesn't matter if I miss it by one day. You can shoot the arrow quickly." King Li Jing couldn't stand his wife. Nagging, he shot three arrows to the east. Little did he know that when the three arrows reached the capital, one hit the pillar of the palace, the other hit the wall of the Golden Palace, and the other hit the golden basin where the emperor washed his face.
At that time, the military advisor of the court was Liu Bowen. He was a divine man who knew the changes in the wind and clouds, the mountains and rivers in the geography, and the vicissitudes of the human world. He saw three arrows shot from the west and almost missed the target. He shot the emperor and hurriedly led the army towards the west. After King Li Jing shot the three arrows, he immediately led his troops eastward. On the way, he heard that the emperor was not dead, but Liu Bowen came with a large group of troops, so he quietly retreated back to Xiangtang.
Liu Bowen led the army to the west end. He could not find out who shot the arrow, so he carefully inspected the terrain and ground veins here. There were many Longshan and Fengshan mountains in the western mountains. In the future, there must be real things happening here. Emperor Long ordered his troops to cut off many pulses of Longshan and Fengshan one by one. When he arrived at Minhe Sanchuan, Liu Bowen carefully inspected the situation in Sanchuan and saw that there were two Longshan Mountains and two Fengshan Mountains. One Longshan Mountain extended westward from the present Gangou Township, and its leading head was almost to the edge of the Yellow River.
Another Longshan extends eastward from the present Gangou Township, and its head is almost to the edge of the Yellow River; the two Longshans each carry one Fengshan and two Fengshan (now Shuguo in Guanting Town) Hu Lang, Mula Hu Lang in Zhongchuan Township) has spread its wings. Ershan has become the spirit of two dragons playing with pearls and two phoenixes facing the sun. The pines and cypresses on Longshan and Fengshan are lush and green, and thousands of flowers are in bloom. It is a Feng Shui treasure land where dragons and crouching tigers are hidden! If the dragon heads of the two dragon mountains reach the Yellow River and connect with the Yellow River, and if the two phoenix mountains spread their wings, the real dragon emperor will appear here and the dynasty will change.
Liu Bowen thought to himself: Fortunately, I got here in time. If it had been a few years later, the Ming Dynasty would have been doomed. He ordered his troops to dig mountains day and night to cut off the veins. First, he cut off all the veins of the two dragons, and then led his troops to dig out the veins of Phoenix Mountain. But when I was digging the wings of Dafengshan, I dug them during the day and grew them at night. I kept digging for several months and kept digging.
One day, a soldier who was digging a mountain forgot his shoes on the digging site and went to look for shoes at night. While he was digging the soil to find shoes, he suddenly heard voices underground. : "Oh, it's so dangerous. If we keep digging all night, we will break it." When the soldier heard this, he was so panicked that he didn't even look for shoes. He ran back and told Liu Bowen. Liu Bowen hurriedly led the army to dig overnight and dug to nine feet. When I was nine deep, I found a big tree root as thick as an arm, which happened to be the bloodline of this phoenix. Liu Bowen cut off the root of the tree with a swing of his sword, and red blood gushed out from the root, and the blood flowed towards the Yellow River. When the blood just reached the beach by the river, someone happened to come over and made a hole in the beach with his foot. The blood flowed into the hole and never came out again. If it flows into the Yellow River, this bloodline will be connected again, and important people will emerge from this place.
Liu Bowen dug up two Longshan Mountains and two Fengshan Mountains into pieces. The dense pines and cypresses were crushed under the mountains, and all the roots of flowers were eradicated. From then on, pines and cypresses no longer grew on the mountains around Minhe Sanchuan, and flowers no longer bloomed. According to legend, there has been no big shot in Mikawa since then. Now you have to pass through several gaps in the mountains when going from Chuankou Town to Guanting Town. It is said that these were the gaps dug by Liu Bowen when he cut the dragon's veins.
