On July 6, 2008, at the 32nd World Heritage Conference held in Quebec City, Canada, Fujian Tulou was officially listed in the World Heritage List. Fujian Tulou, which has become a world cultural heritage, consists of 46 tulou in Yongding, Nanjing and Hua 'an counties of Fujian Province.

Namely, Chuxi Tulou Group, Hongkeng Tulou Group, Gaobei Tulou Group and Xiang Yan Tower, Zhenfu Tulou Group, Nanjing Tianluokeng Tulou Group, Hekeng Tulou Group and Huaiyuan Tower, He Jiong Tower and Hua 'an Dida Tulou Group in Yongding County. These earth buildings are square or round, mainly round, scattered like pearls among the green mountains and green waters in southwest Fujian.

As of 2008, the oldest and youngest world heritage earth buildings are located in Chuxi earth buildings. Qing Ji Tower with a diameter of 66 meters has a history of 600 years, while Shanqing Tower with a diameter of 3 1 meter has a history of only 30 years.

The structure of Fujian earth building is high outside and low inside, with a building inside and a ring inside, which has the functions of ventilation, lighting, earthquake resistance, sound insulation, heat preservation and defense.
