Geography and climate of Sibiu

Sibiu is located in the Qibin River depression, about 20 kilometers away from Fagara Mountain, the highest peak of the South Carpathian Mountains. The Chibi River flowing through the local area is the most important channel between Sibiu and other big cities in Romania. On the other hand, Sibiu has a continental climate, with an average annual temperature of about 8 to 9 C, an average annual rainfall of 662 l/mp, and frost on about one third of the days every year.
