What does Onmyoji do?
An onmyoji is a wizard who masters the way of yin and yang, knows how to observe stars, read people's faces, measure directions, recognize disasters, draw talismans, recite incantations, and perform illusions.
Onmyoji originated in China and is widely popular in Japan. Its unique magic "Onmyodo" is part of Japanese Shinto. People are also well aware of the invisible forces, such as fate, souls, and ghosts, and have the ability to control these things. The fields of activity are sacrifices, divination, calendar repair, and misfortune (assistant government). Representative figures include Abe Seimei, Ashiya Doman, Kanle Sengzheng and others.
"Onmyoji" is the most famous work of Dream Pillow Tapir. This series of novels is set in the dark and distant Heian period, and fictionalizes a mysterious and elegant world where humans and ghosts coexist.
According to legend, during the Heian period in Japan, the world was not divided into light and darkness, and humans, ghosts, and monsters coexisted.
Onmyoji Abe Seimei, with fluttering white clothes, is elegant and uninhibited; samurai Minamoto Boya has a long sword hanging from his waist, simple and upright. They are like the Japanese Sherlock Holmes and Watson. The two are indifferent to life and death, wandering between the Yin and Yang realms, solving bizarre incidents and relieving the worries of humans and ghosts.
