When is tea before rain?
Origin:
In China, every15th day of the lunar calendar is a solar term, which is about "fright" on March 5th, "vernal equinox" on March 20th, "Qingming" on April 5th, "Grain Rain" on April 20th and "long summer" on May 5th. Ancient agricultural production has always been guided by solar terms. So is tea production. Early-maturing varieties often germinate at the time of "fright" and "vernal equinox". The tea before Tomb-Sweeping Day is called Mingqian tea, and the tea before Grain Rain is called Yuqian tea.
Quality characteristics:
In the dry season from June 5438 to the end of May of the following year, there will be a spring rain in early April, and the tea seeds picked before this are called "tea before rain". Due to climatic factors, low temperature and little rain, "tea before rain" is characterized by thin and short leaves, rich aroma, less bitterness, strong naturalness and heavy quality.
Some people think that the quality of tea before rain is better, which originated from the concept of Jiangnan tea area. In Yunnan, the low temperature drying in February and March has adverse effects on the growth of tea trees and the quality of tea seeds. At the end of February-May, before the rainy season, Yunnan Pu 'er tea area was picked 3-4 times, and the best quality tea seeds were picked for the second time after the rain in early April, that is, the third time after the spring. Because the rain helps to transport the nutrients in the soil, the rising temperature and sunlight are beneficial to the growth of tea trees, and the leaves are plump and elastic.
Before Rain is the abbreviation of before Grain Rain Festival, before Rain is after Tomb-Sweeping Day and before Grain Rain Festival, that is, from April 5 to April 20, the tea made of fine buds is called before Rain.
