The "5A" scenic spot of Langzhong ancient city has a total area of 4.59 square kilometers, and the core area of the ancient city is 2 square kilometers. The architectural style of the ancient city embodies the geomantic conception of ancient houses in China, the chessboard-style ancient city pattern, and the architectural complex that integrates the north and south styles, forming architectural groups with different styles such as "semi-pearl", "product" and "multi", which is a typical example of "harmony between man and nature" in the site selection of ancient architectural cities in China.

Langzhong ancient city is located in a cave field near the mountain and the water, and the architectural layout strictly follows the planning and layout of Feng Shui cave method. Langzhong Mountain is surrounded by water, and there is a Zhongtian Tower in the city center, which is a metaphor of "Ten Wonders of Heaven" in Feng Shui. The rest of the streets and lanes in the city are centered on Zhongtian Building, with Cross Street as the main trunk, which is spread out layer by layer. There are thousands of residential courtyards in the ancient city, mainly in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, with single-eave barrel structure, blue tiles and white walls, and carved doors and windows.
