Chen Yifeng: The compass is just an auxiliary tool of Feng Shui.

Nowadays, feng shui masters can't see feng shui without a compass. If a Feng Shui master doesn't wear a compass, most customers will doubt his professional level. But from the perspective of geomantic omen, the judgment of geomantic omen mainly depends on the intuition in the eyes, that is, the combination of weights is good or bad, and the compass is only an auxiliary tool.

So, what is the origin of compass as a feng shui product? Let's take a look with Mr. Chen Yifeng!

1, the compass was invented very late

The compass appeared very late in China. In the early Northern Song Dynasty, people discovered the artificial magnetization method, and made a compass by rubbing a steel needle with a natural magnet. Later, people learned to fix the compass in the azimuth plate and made a compass needle. At that time, the compass was still a water compass, that is, the magnetic needle floated across the wick on the water. The water compass was used throughout the Southern Song Dynasty. As for the drought compass, China did not appear until the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1522- 1566). Tang didn't have a compass before, so he couldn't raise his breath at all. But there are still many classic Feng Shui works.

2. The location of Confucius House and Shitianfu did not use a compass.

From Xiang Xiangcheng in Gongliu and Luo Xiangyi in the pre-Qin Dynasty, to Qiu Jian's tomb in Guanluo, Wu Xiang, in the Han and Jin Dynasties, and then to Wenzhou City in Guo Pu, these feng shui grandfathers have never used or used a compass, because the compass only appeared in the late Tang and early Song Dynasties. However, the Zhou Dynasty was able to cover the sky for 800 years, but Guan Ju could not break the genocide in Qiu Jian in just two years.

Ancient Feng Shui masters took Confucius House in Qufu, Shandong Province, and Shitianfu in Longhu Mountain, Jiangxi Province as the model of Yangzhai. In Fu, "the water exchange at the foot of Mount Tai is the most prosperous; The language of "Dragon and Tiger Mountain has a stroke, and Fairy Garden is Changchun" is the theory of these two schools. The former, from the Western Han Dynasty to the Republic of China, was sealed by the descendants of Confucius from generation to generation, and has been honored for more than 70 generations in the past two thousand years. From the Eastern Han Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty, 1600, the name of "Shi Tian" was passed down for 63 generations, and was favored by emperors, who always took charge of Taoism in the world. However, when these two houses were built, the Feng Shui master did not have a compass. However, after the advent of the compass, no matter what tricks the Feng Shui master used, such as "invincible three elements" and "seven-star robbery", it was impossible to churn out such a good villa that was unbeaten for thousands of years.

3. Peibai Village did not use a compass when selecting the site.

Comparable with the "South Zhangbei Cave" is Peibai Village, Wenxi, Shanxi. In A.D. 126, that is, in the early years of Emperor Shun of Han Dynasty, Ye Pei, the general of Bing's secretariat and governor of Liao Dynasty, traveled all over the mountains of Hedong in order to find a treasure trove of geomantic omen suitable for his family to live in, and finally chose Peibai Village.

Peibai Village is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with green dragons flourishing and white tigers winding. Nine hills, such as Jigongling and Nanling, closely guard the small village in the shape of "Nine Phoenix and Rising Sun", and there are Su Shui and Dong Ze Lake Club in front of the outer hall, which is very in line with the feng shui requirements of "mountains are surrounded by water, hiding wind and gathering gas". Especially the long Emei Mountain behind the village is like a giant screen. Yang Gongyun said, "If there are several screens behind, this is a meeting for the public."

After the Ye Pei family settled here, from the Han Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty, this family trained 59 prime ministers, 59 generals, 14 assistant ministers in Chinese books, 55 ministers, 44 assistants,1/constant attendants,1/suggestions, 20. However, Ye Pei of the Han Dynasty didn't know what a compass was, and naturally he didn't know any methods of regulating qi, such as three-in-one, three-yuan and so on. But he found a treasure trove of geomantic omen in a Chinese Odyssey and built an impeccable geomantic mansion! According to the research of Pei's descendants, Guo Pu, the originator of China's geomantic omen and the author of Funeral Book, is Wenxi and Pei's son-in-law, whose geomantic omen benefited from Pei's guidance.

4. The compass was not used in the site selection of Weiyang Palace and Daming Palace.

In addition, there is Weiyang Palace in Han Dynasty, where 23 emperors lived for 420 years, and Daming Palace in Tang Dynasty, where 17 emperors lived for 234 years. Considering Wang Wei's magnificent poem, "The Nine Gates of Heaven Expose the Palace Que, and many countries bow their heads to the Pearl Crown", it should be said that it is also a pretty good house, but its designer has no compasses.
