Jiaoding Mountain Camping Altitude

The altitude of Jiaoding Mountain camping is over 3,000 meters; there are three camping sites in Jiaoding Mountain. Camp No. 1 and Camp No. 2 are free and open to the public. Camp No. 3 currently requires reservation; Jiaoding Mountain is currently the only one. A mountain camp that allows direct access by self-driving; generally speaking, the weather here is the most stable season from November to May, making it the most suitable for camping.

Jiaoding Mountain Camping Guide

There is no accommodation in Jiaoding Mountain, you can only choose camping. There are two suitable places for camping here. They are only 2 kilometers apart.

The water source in the first camp is better, but the camp is a bit steep, and the climb up the mountain is relatively steep. It is a bit difficult to get up in the morning to watch the sunrise;

The second camp is close to the park. It is at the end of the earth, but the water source is not very good, and it can only be used if it is boiled; but it is easier to climb to the top here to watch the sunrise.

Camping tips:

1. Jiaoding Mountain is very cold at night, so be sure to bring cold-proof clothing;

2. You can burn a bonfire to keep warm at night. But you have to pick up sticks on the mountainside.

3. Bring waterproof hiking shoes (hiking shoes), headlamps or flashlights and other lighting tools, and at least 1 set of spare batteries.

4. Bring some convenient food: instant noodles, instant rice, beef jerky, compressed biscuits, pork breasts, ham sausages, etc., as well as stoves, gas tanks, lighters (or other fire-making tools), portable jacketed kettle.

Visiting Jiaoding Mountain:

1. On the top of Haizi, there are cliffs everywhere. If the weather is good, you can see Emei, Dawa Mountain and Wawu Mountain. In addition, you can watch the sun here. Going out is also a good choice.

2. There is an alpine lawn on the top of Jiaoding Mountain with intact vegetation, where you can enjoy nature.

3. In May and June, azaleas bloom on Jiaoding Mountain, making the scenery even more beautiful.
