What is the distribution law of isobar?
The law of judging wind direction:
First determine the level of air pressure, then determine the direction of horizontal air pressure gradient force (horizontal air pressure gradient force always points from high pressure to low pressure and is perpendicular to isobar), and then determine the direction of geostrophic deflection force according to the hemisphere.
Judge the weather conditions
1, low-pressure central area: the airflow is mainly rising, with rainy weather.
2. High-pressure central area: The airflow is mainly downward, mostly in dry and sunny weather.
3. The wind blowing from the low latitude sea surface to the high latitude land is mostly warm and wet.
4. The wind blowing from high latitude inland to low latitude is mostly cold and dry.
Using the contour map, we can analyze the distribution of air pressure on the same horizontal plane, identify the position of high and low air pressure, and find out the difference through comparison, which lays the foundation for studying the movement of the atmosphere.
On the same map, the denser the isobar, the greater the pressure gradient, the greater the corresponding horizontal pressure gradient force and the greater the airflow (wind) speed.
