Where is Qiongzhou Strait?
I. Climate and environment
Qiongzhou Strait has a warm climate, abundant rainfall and frequent typhoons all year round. The annual average temperature in the Strait is about 24℃, the extreme maximum temperature is 38℃~40℃, and the minimum temperature is 28℃. The annual average precipitation is above1500mm. May ~ 10 is rainy season, with many thunderstorms and showers; 165438+ 10 to April of the following year is the dry season, and it doesn't snow all the year round.
Second, water transportation.
Qiongzhou Strait is a natural channel to enter the northern part of Hainan Island and communicate with Beibu Gulf. Qiongzhou Strait is not only a maritime transportation hub connecting Hainan Island with the mainland, but also the most convenient route for ships to enter the Beibu Gulf. It is also a channel for maritime traffic and friendly exchanges between Hainan Island and the mainland and Southeast Asian countries. There are four waterways at the east mouth of the Strait, and there are six shoals near the waterways. These four waterways are: Wailuomen Waterway, North Waterway, Middle Waterway and South Waterway.
