Tourism in Sendai City

Sendai is an important city in Northeast China with trees and lush green leaves. The taste of historic cities is very harmonious with the function of modern cities. The natural scenery in the four seasons is beautiful, and there are many hot spring resorts in the suburbs. It takes only one and a half hours to take the Shinkansen train from Tokyo, so it has become a tourist destination where you can travel easily and happily.

This suburb is famous for its beautiful natural scenery all over the country. There are one of Japan's three hot springs, such as Qiubao Hot Spring and Zuohe Hot Spring, and three famous tourist attractions in Japan, such as Matsushima, Tibetan Kingdom Park and Shrine. There are also facilities such as golf courses and ski resorts, which are crowded with tourists who come for sports activities and tourism all year round.

There are famous hot springs in the scenic spot facing the Pacific Ocean and inland (in the mountains) on the outskirts of Sendai. Sendai is also a prosperous area since ancient times, so you can see precious historical buildings.

Matsushima

Matsushima is one of the three major scenic spots in Japan, and there are 26 islands floating on Matsushima Bay. Together with Iwashima in Hiroshima and Tianqiao in Kyoto, it is called one of the three major scenic spots in Japan. There is an endless stream of tourists at home and abroad all the year round. Traveling around the islands by sightseeing boat is proud.

Matsushima has been widely praised by many poets and poets since ancient times, and it was even praised as one of the three scenic spots in Japan by Lin Chunzhai, a Confucian scholar of the edo shogunate, 35 years ago.

You can enjoy the waves and magnificent scenery of the Pacific Ocean by hearing more about the cliffs of Daiqi Mountain. Matsushima is located in Miyagi Prefecture, which can also be regarded as the surrounding city of Sendai. It is a place full of historical sites and full of historical atmosphere. There are more than 26 islands here due to the crustal changes in the past, and together with Mingzi Gorge, not only the mountains are magnificent, but also natural hot springs emerge, becoming one of the hot spring resorts. During the day, the islands lie on the blue harbor, and the sun shines brightly. At dusk, it becomes picturesque again in a flash. In February, there was an oyster festival in Matsushima, in August, there was a lantern festival, and in October, there was a tea party in the garden, which made the charm of Matsushima even brighter. Takamori is one of the four great views of Matsushima, and is famous for its spectacular peaks. There are four famous views of Songdao, including the spectacular Gaosen, the magnificent Duowen Mountain, the secluded fan valley and the beautiful Fushan.

The Great Gaosen Peak is spectacular, located in the center of Miyado Island. From the top of the mountain, you can see the majestic craggy stream and the beautiful Songdo Bay. The whole island group is located on Songdo Bay, like a super courtyard full of boxes, which is a wonder.

The Duowen Mountain Daiqi Cliff in the south of Matsushima Bay and the northern end of Qibin Town is a magnificent view. You can enjoy the waves of the Pacific Ocean and its magnificent scenery, as well as the large and small ships entering and leaving the salt kettle port. It is a truly amazing view.

If you look at the mouth of Songdao Bay from Shuangguan Mountain, it is like a fan spreading on the sea, so it is called fan valley, which contains quiet beauty and is called secluded view. The tea pavilion on the top of Fan Valley is a good place to rest and enjoy the scenery.

The rich mountain in Songdo is described as a beautiful view. On the top of the mountain, there is Dayang Temple covered with fir trees and pine trees, which allows visitors to fully enjoy the beautiful scenery of Songdo and appreciate the quiet joy. It is said that Emperor Meiji was lucky to visit this mountain, which was tantamount to stamping a royal recommendation decree.

There are many routes for sightseeing boats to choose from, such as the Renwang Maru Line, which runs every half hour and costs 4, yen. Fupu Bridge, which is connected with the coast of Matsushima, leads people straight to Fupu Island. Matsushima is one of the three scenic spots in Japan (the overpass between Matsushima and Kyoto Prefecture, and Miyajima in Hiroshima Prefecture, also known as the three scenic spots in Japan), which is full of wonders. It is necessary to take a boat trip to Yousong Island. You can take a boat to Yanfu City at Songdao Bay Pier, which takes about one hour.

In addition to seeing the grotesque islands dotted around Songdao Bay along the way, you can also visit the salt kettle market, which is famous for its salt production. On your return trip, you can take the Xianshi Line train back to Songdao, so that you won't repeat the journey.

Many small islands in Songdao Bay are not as imposing as the stalactite caves in Guilin's landscape, and their area is too small for tourists to set foot on them. The tiny pine trees densely planted on the island, which look like vivid bonsai from a distance, are typical of other types that can be seen from a distance without being ridiculous, but they are not artificial bonsai, but natural bonsai, and the distance between the twin islands is only about one foot.

For example, the twin islands, one big and one small, one big oval and one small round, are quietly wandering on the bay, separated by only about one foot, like gazing at each other and affectionate. In fact, there is no need to cruise the river, and Gemini Island can be seen from Xiongdao, while Xiongdao and Songdao coast are connected by a bridge crossing the moon.

Fupu Bridge, which is connected with the coast of Songdao, is a long vermilion bridge, which leads people straight to Fupu Island. There are many white waterfowl on the island, and the surrounding scenery is elegant, so it is quiet to walk on it.

Of course, the cruise river can see the most landscapes. Look! This thousand-penetration island stands on Songdao Bay, and its posture is like a lion. Look! This specially shaped Golden Island, the milky white rock on the island has been eroded to a few holes, so large that a small boat can cross it. The pine trees on the island are dense, green and white, and the blue bay water, coupled with the penetrating feeling of the holes, are extremely ethereal.

There is another Penglai Island, as the name suggests. The area of the island is relatively large, and the grotesque rocks make you feel at ease. You can suck the wind and drink dew without being contaminated with fireworks. Of course, it is the most suitable place for immortals to live.

In a word, there are countless strange islands in Songdao Bay, some of which are shaped like jackals, others like seagulls, and even shoulder blades like cows. The idea of natural bonsai is of course strange beyond imagination. The most important island, Renwang Island, is located in the center of Songdao Bay, commanding the islands in the whole bay. This island has been eroded by the waves of nature for thousands of years. The upper and lower parts are relatively hard and clean slate, with ordinary rocks in the middle, which gradually narrows from bottom to top and presents a strange appearance. It has eyes and mouths, and it also has the grace of a noble benevolent. It is like adding a crown to the top, called the benevolent king, which is very appropriate.

Zuiganji

was founded in 164. The magnificent and colorful hall (where the Buddha statue is placed) and the library (mainly referring to the kitchen of the temple) are designated as national treasures.

Zuiganji is the No.1 temple in Northeast Japan, and it is the Bodaiji of Data Masamune that inherits the architectural style of Taoshan. Its predecessor was Enbukuji, which was founded in 828 by Genren, a master of Cijue. The present building was built in 169 by Data Masamune, a vassal of Sendai, and it was renamed Zuiganji at this time. During the construction, it is said that 13 skilled craftsmen were gathered from all over the country, and the building materials were taken from Kumano Mountain. Built in 169, the main hall on the roof of the tile, the tang style building "Yucheng Gate" attached to the main hall, the gallery of the library with beautiful vine patterns and patterned elbow wood were designated as national treasures, and Yucheng Gate and Middle Gate were designated as important cultural heritages. There is a grand Galand in the temple, and its tang style doors and railings, partitions and niches are all beautifully painted and carved. The shrine crossing the mountain gate to the main hall is surrounded by tall fir forests, full of silence and solemnity, which makes people forget the noise.

Hall 5

A hall symbolizing Matsushima built on an island floating on Matsushima Bay. (a building dedicated to Buddha statues)

The Fifth Hall is a Buddhist temple built on an island near the coast of Honshu, which is connected with Honshu by a red bridge.

Bishamondo was originally built by Malu of Sakamada village during his expedition to Austria in 87, and the present building was rebuilt by Data Masamune in 164. Because it is the oldest Taoshan building in Northeast China, it is designated as an important cultural heritage. Five statues of the Great Sage Aryaacalanatha, the Oriental Sage III, the Great Weed in the West, the Tea in the Southern Army and the King Kong Hag in the North were placed in the hall, and they were opened to the public every 33 years.

The blue sea and the landscape around the five halls formed by many islands are the representative scenic spots of Songdao.

Site of Sendai City

It is also called the Site of Sendai City in Qingye City. The cliffs in the east and south form a natural fortress. Now, the stone walls and towers (battlements, spaces set on the gates and walls for inspecting the enemy and shooting) remind people of the past. The site of Sendai City has been turned into a park, which is also a good place to overlook the urban landscape.

Data Masamune (1567-1636) is a famous Cyclops in northeast Japan, which swept Aoyu. In 1591, at the order of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, he moved from Chuyumize to a new town in Sendai, which was built in 16, and lived in Yanchushan, Yuzao County, Lu Ao.

The city of Sendai City was destroyed after the Meiji Restoration, but the Dashoumen and Jiaowanglou were preserved. Unfortunately, they were both bombed by air strikes in 1945. Today, the ruins in the center of the castle include the National Defense Shrine, the Moon Monument of the Deserted City with a late green Doi, the Shimazaki Tōson Poetry Monument, the Zhaozhong Monument and the bronze statue of Data Masamune riding a horse.

The bronze statue of Data Masamune riding in the remains of Sendai City is majestic. In fact, the most striking relic of Sendai City is the bronze statue of Data Masamune on horseback. The development of Sendai is largely due to the foundation laid by this one-eyed hero for Sendai. From the majestic charm of riding a horse, we can probably feel Data Masamune's ambition to dominate the world.

At that time, Sendai City was built by using the natural barrier of Qingye Mountain, with a height of 132 meters, also known as Qingye City. It's a pity that Sendai City is no longer heroic, and all that is left is some ruins and some gates. These ruins, together with the rebuilt towers, may make people mourn days of our lives in Sendai City.

Today, the site of Sendai City has become the Qingye Mountain Park in full of green for people to have a rest and play. There is a Qingye City information exhibition hall in the park, and visitors can enjoy Sendai City reproduced by computer drawing. The 3-meter-wide screen shows Taoshan architecture and the magnificent 62,-stone residence city. With the collection of Data Masamune's relics and letters in the museum, we can probably get a glimpse of the inner world of Cyclops.

Qiubao Waterfall

A waterfall with a width of 6 meters and a drop of 55 meters. Early summer when green leaves sprout and autumn when red leaves are completely dyed are the best seasons. It is one of the scenic spots designated by the state.

Guanlan Pavilion

Adjacent to Matsushima Museum, it is the Guanlan Pavilion at the top of Yuemizaki, which is worth stopping at. Guanlan Pavilion was originally the tea room of Fujiantao Mountain City, which was received by Data Masamune from Toyotomi Hideyoshi during the Wenlu period. Later, Tadashi, the second-generation vassal, moved to this place from Edo intact, and changed it to enjoy the cool and enjoy the moon. The name of Guanlan Pavilion was named after Yoshimura, the fifth-generation vassal.

is the word "Guanlan" in Guanlan Pavilion taken from Mencius: If you have the skill to watch the water, you must watch it? It was not only the pavilion where the vassal enjoyed the cool air and watched the moon, but also the ripples in Songdao Bay were quite impressive. Now Guanlan has a matcha reception for 3 Dan.

Matcha originated in the Tang and Song Dynasties when tea was popular around Jingshan Temple in Yuhang, Zhejiang Province to discuss Buddhist scriptures, which was called a tea banquet. The tea used was steamed, ground, baked and ground, which is today's Matcha. At that time, Japan sent Tang envoys to China to learn China culture, and Buddhist monk Rong Xi Zen Master went to Jingshan Temple to study Buddhism. After returning home, he spread the tea banquet and matcha method in Jingshan Temple to Japan. Today's Japanese tea ceremony focuses on cultivating the mind and learning etiquette, which has its own rules of building and drinking tea. Matcha is the top grade tea used. To me, matcha seems to be the essence of green tea, the expresso of green tea, and the entrance is extremely refreshing. After drinking tea, take a closer look at the Guanlan Pavilion. In those days, there were two royal rooms for the reception of the Lord and his guests, which were simple and lively, and very rich in Taoshan architectural art characteristics. It is very beautiful to see the screen of the golden-foil colored phoenix in the room, and the colorful pictures of trees, flowers and streams are painted on the smooth door, which is the legacy of the famous painter Kanoyama Le. On the color map, there is a horizontal plaque with the words rainy, sunny and fine written in the ink of Yoshimura. There is no doubt that this is a classic poem by Su Dongpo:

The water is bright and sunny, and the mountains are empty and the rain is strange. If the west lake is more than the dead beauty Xi Shi, C Plus is so suitable.

This is one of the evidences that Japanese people admire China culture. In addition to the wonderful rain and fine weather, it reminds people of a poem by Xie Juezai:

The lake is full of trees and grass, and the yacht is cruising in the late Ming Dynasty. Standing in the right place is just like looking at the right place, only then do you know that you are in the drawing.

This poem is used to describe the surrounding scenery of Guanlan Pavilion, which is more appropriate.

Sendai Museum

This museum introduces the history of Sendai centering on the historical and cultural heritage of the Yida people. About 75, national treasures and important cultural properties are collected here. There are about 12 pieces on display at any time.

Zuihoden

Zuihoden, located on a hill called Jingfeng, is a temple dedicated to Data Masamune. The temple was built by the second-generation vassal loyal Sect, with luxurious style and won the reputation of sunshine in Northeast China. In the past, Data Masamune visited this place in order to listen to the first crow of the bird, and made a last wish before he died, to build a temple here and bury himself in it.

You can reach Zuihoden, where Ida is buried, by walking through the straight Chinese fir forest and the long Senate Hall. In addition to the political Sect, the remains of the loyal Sect of the second generation and the outline Sect of the third generation are also enshrined in the temple's Ganxian Hall and Yiqing Hall respectively, making it a spiritual temple for three lords. The temple is also a building in the Taoshan era, with a magnificent appearance. It was once designated as a national treasure cultural property. Unfortunately, it was burned in the war in 1945. Today, the temple, Nirvana Gate and Imperial Palace (archive) were rebuilt in 1979 based on physical objects, costing 8 million yen.

During the reconstruction of the temple, archaeologists unearthed the remains of three vassals and their funerary objects, including knives, painted stationery boxes, European gold brooches and jewelry boxes, which were quite exquisitely made. In the archive, there are movies about excavating tombs and investigating the process of antiquities, and several bronze statues based on the skulls of Zhengzong, Zhongzong and Gangzong are displayed, which are worth watching.

Lu Xun's Monument

One of the reasons why China people know about Sendai, Japan, is that when Lu Xun was studying in Japan, he studied medicine in Sendai Medical College, from the autumn of 1994 to the spring of 1996. The Chronicle of Lu Xun compiled by Xu Shoushang records that Lu Xun was 24 years old in 1994. On the first day of June, his grandfather was introduced to the public and died. In August, he went to Sendai Medical College. In 1996, Lu Xun was twenty-six years old. In June, he went home and married Ms. Zhu Shanyin. In the same month, he went to Japan to study literature and art in Tokyo and stopped studying medicine.

why did Lu Xun abandon medicine and join literature? This has been mentioned in his autobiography:

I have made up my mind to study medicine. One of the reasons is that I do know that new medicine is of great help to Japan's reform. So I entered Sendai Medical College and studied for two years. At this time, during the China-Japan War, I happened to see a Japanese man who was going to be beheaded because he was a detective, so I thought it was useless to treat several people in China, so there should be more.
