Xiushui village champion village

According to textual research, Xiushui Village has produced so many champions, scholars and juren since the Tang Dynasty, which is also closely related to the ancient river road. The ancient road not only strengthened the trade and goods circulation of merchants, but also promoted the exchange of talents and information. Some scholars and juren from other places came here along the ancient road to teach and impart knowledge, which broadened the villagers' horizons and increased their knowledge. People of insight in the village also went out along the ancient road to study, take exams, be an official and do business, which broadened their opportunities to become talents and start businesses. This shows that the ancient river road has promoted the economic development, talent growth and social progress of Fuchuan and even eastern Guangxi.

Champion village, Xiushui, fuchuan county, preserved the largest ancient residential building in China during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Xiushui Village was nicknamed "champion village", and the latter name gradually overshadowed its real name: according to Fuchuan County Records, there were 133 candidates in the county, and Xiushui accounted for 33, but the information we saw in Xiushui Village was ***26 Jinshi plus 1 No.1 scholar. It is appropriate to summarize Xiushui Village with a couplet of the Champion Temple: rich water breeds twenty-six scholars, and Xiufeng brings up a generation of champions.
