Introduction to Yumao Peak attractions:
On the east bank of Hukou Waterfall, behind the Dragon King Temple, there is a solitary peak, like a hat floating from the sky on the east bank of Hukou Waterfall. Under the afterglow of the setting sun, looking from a distance, it seems to be floating down, and it feels quite quiet. This solitary peak is Shimao Mountain, also known as Yumao Peak. It is said that this lonely peak was turned into King Yu's bamboo hat.
When Dayu used his ax to chop down the mountain formed by the evil dragon's tail, he was so angry that he raised his giant ax to chop down. The water suddenly glowed with green light, carrying the strong wind and waves, and drove him The bamboo hat was lifted up and thrown on the shore of Hukou. It turns out that it is the back gate of the Dragon King of the South China Sea, and Mengmen Mountain is the stone screen wall under the back gate. This rushing storm is the Dragon King's desire to preserve the geomantic treasure of the Dragon Palace, in order to warn Dayu to show mercy. In order to control the flood as quickly as possible, the anxious Dayu did not bother to pick up the bamboo hat that had been blown away by the wind. He used all his strength, raised his sharp ax and struck at the hard rock again. Finally, he cut through the river, allowing the Yellow River water to flow along the river channel. . Yu didn't bother to pick up the bamboo hat, and embarked on a journey to dredge the nine rivers and three rivers.
Although the Dragon King of the South China Sea did not save Shi Zhaobi, he became very angry whenever he saw Yu's hat left on the river bank. He wanted to take the hat and burn it at the back gate to weaken Yu's magic power. When people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait found out, they carried Dayu's hat to the top of the mountain behind the Dragon King Temple. In order to preserve the temple he built in the human world, the Dragon King had no choice but to give up. Over time, Yu's bamboo hat turned into a Shimao Mountain. In order to commemorate Yu's merits, later generations called this Shimao Mountain Yumao Mountain.
