The legendary Shi Wanfu and his mansion

According to legend, during the Northern and Southern Dynasties, there was a man named Shi Baotian in Qianshitang Village, Hengxi. His wife gave birth at noon one summer, and dark clouds suddenly rolled in the clear sky. Suddenly the world became dark, like night. Mrs. Shi suffered from abdominal pain in the middle of the night and screamed at the top of her lungs for more than ten hours. She had no energy at all. The Shi family, midwives and servants were extremely panicked by the sudden darkness and had a great sense of ominousness. However, following a flash of lightning in mid-air, a baby boy's clear cry broke through the lifeless mountain village of Shitang. Oddly enough, when the child landed, the dark clouds in the sky suddenly disappeared and the sun returned to bright sunshine. Everyone in the Shi family and the village were amazed, saying that stars had fallen from the sky, and that this child would be extraordinary in the future and would be rich and powerful.

Shi Baotian regarded it as the virtues accumulated by his ancestors and the blessings from the gods. He made a special trip to the temple to burn incense and named his child Shi Wanfu, hoping that his family would be prosperous and his ancestors would be honored in the future.

One spring day when Shi Wanfu was twelve years old, an old Taoist man came to Qianshitang Village. He had white hair and white eyebrows, and a fairy-like spirit. No one knew how old he was. The old Taoist came to the Shi family and claimed that he was a Maoshan Taoist priest. He had a special relationship with Shi Wanfu as a master and disciple. He wanted to accept him as his disciple, dig out the hidden world, and help him achieve enlightenment.

When the Shi family thought of the strange phenomenon when their child was born, they naturally believed it and prepared a large sum of money to express their gratitude, but the Taoist priest politely declined. The Taoist priest said that he would teach him martial arts in Shitang Mountain and asked the Shi family not to look for and disturb him. After taking the child out, he disappeared. Shi Wanfu followed his master to the top of the mountain in the clouds and mist. There were vast trees on all sides, and the peak was shrouded in clouds and mist. He grew up in a small mountain and traveled all over the mountains and forests with his family. He was puzzled as to why he didn't know this fairyland. The Taoist Master asked Shi to practice luck breathing, fist moves, and fighting skills with him... Sunrise and sunset, five days passed, and each day seemed to be longer than any day in the past twelve years. Shi Wanfu mastered and understood the skills taught by the Taoist Master. Fast, extremely skillful, and easy to use.

The Taoist priest called Shi Wanfu to him and told him that the fate between you and me as master and disciple has ended. I am not an ordinary person, but a Taibai Jinxing. Although I have been taught skills for five days, I have been in the world for five years. Everything is doomed now. Monsters are causing trouble in Qianshitang Village, hurry up and rescue them. Before leaving, the old immortal gave the apprentice a five-foot bamboo pole and told him that it would be a wish-fulfilling stick. If he eats dew at night, it will become a horse for walking and a weapon for fighting. Little did Shi Wanfu know that when he left the village, his parents regretted it and thought that they had tricked the child away. After searching for him for two or three years to no avail, they were forced to give up as if he was no longer alive.

Qianshitang Village is a mountain village, belonging to the Yuntai Mountains. There are two mountains in the north and south of the mountain pass. The north and south peaks resemble roosters and hens, so they are named Rooster Mountain and Hen Mountain. In the second year after Shi Wanfu left home, strange things happened. Rooster Mountain and Hen Mountain began to become spirits and do mischief because they had absorbed the essence of the sun and moon for thousands of years. They form a "mountain that comes together at night" and naturally separates in the morning. Between the peaks is a mountain road that must be passed by villagers from Qianshitang and Anhui Province. The two mountains merge, and people traveling at night are often pinched into meat patties and died. The incident frightened the villagers and alarmed the court, but there was nothing anyone could do.

Shi Wanfu landed in the village on a bamboo horse. When he was drinking water by the village pond, he was shocked when he saw a tall and handsome young man taking a look in the water. Because, five days ago, he was just a child, and he didn't expect to become a handsome and strong young man in a few days. But when I thought of Master Taibai Jinxing's words, I understood everything. When he knelt down in front of his parents, everyone was stunned. Everyone looked left and right, as if they were dreaming. When they heard that he was going to fight the Cock Mountain and Hen Mountain monsters at night, everyone tried to stop him, saying that he shouldn't be stupid. People couldn't fight monsters, and they would turn people into meat pies. In his anxiety, Shi Wanfu jumped up and flew to a cloud in mid-air, leaving the whole village stunned. At this time, as the sun set, the villagers kept waving their hands and shouting to be careful.

When it gets dark, the Rooster Mountain in the south turns into a big and arrogant rooster, while the Rooster Mountain in the north blinks into a gentle and tender hen. I saw Rooster Mountain moving quickly like Hen Mountain closing together. At this moment, Shi Wanfu shouted loudly, "Don't let the monsters cause trouble." He held up a bamboo stick and hit the top of Rooster Mountain. There was a flash of lightning and a loud "boom". I saw that Rooster Mountain had no head and was obviously smaller than a hen. The mountain has become shorter, and Rooster Mountain has returned to its peak shape. Seeing this, Henshan opened his mouth to peck Shi Wanfu, but he smashed the bamboo stick behind him. A stone pond suddenly appeared on the mountain, and clear spring water gurgled out. The bamboo pole shook nine times in a row, and the pond water jumped. After entering the Nine-Tiao Xiaolong, it became the current "Nine Dragon Pond". Hen Mountain suddenly returned to its peak shape.

Then, Shi Wanfu used bamboo poles to draw a deep trench from the stone pond to the east. The mountain stream immediately flowed sideways into the distance, and people along the stream cultivated all the way to the outside of the mountain and multiplied. The land became prosperous because of the stream. , named "Hengxi" by later generations.

Shi Wanfu’s removal of the mountain demon was found out by the court. The King of Southern Qi personally summoned him and made him a general. Of course, good things come one after another. He was even attracted by the local wealthy gentry, who betrothed him a thousand pieces of gold. However, when he was an official in the capital, he did not bring his family to the capital. In order to reunite his husband and wife without affecting the emperor's meeting with the emperor, he had to use magic, ride a bamboo into a horse, and return home at Xu time every night. The rooster crows three times and goes straight to the capital. Kyoto. Due to the extremely good confidentiality work, the villagers and family members did not know his whereabouts, so the officials and family took care of him and everything was fine.

One day, the old mother suddenly saw that her daughter-in-law had a big belly. She thought she was unruly and unruly. Under cross-examination, she had no choice but to tell the truth truthfully. The old mother thought that the capital was far away and knew that her son had some magical powers, but she was still doubtful and decided to find out.

One day at midnight, Shi Wanfu returned to the courtyard silently on his bamboo horse, placed the bamboo stick on the ground in the courtyard, opened the door and went into the house to sleep. Unexpectedly, the old mother who was hiding in the main room watching the real thing, after the doubts in her heart were gone, said to herself, how could such a treasure be thrown away casually? What if someone took it away. So she went to the courtyard to pick up the bamboo sticks and leaned on the eaves before leaving.

At Yinshi the next day, Shi Wanfu got up and left the house on time. When he saw the bamboo horse leaning against the door, he was very anxious. It turns out that the bamboo horse did not absorb the dew, lost its spirituality, and could not use it freely. In the past, whenever Shi Wanfu stepped onto his bamboo horse, the wind would blow from his ears and he would fly away into the sky. But today, the bamboo stick became an ordinary stick, and my body couldn't move, so I had to run quickly. It's a 70-mile journey from Shitang to Jinling. If you can't get to the Jinluan Hall, you can't go to the morning court, which will inevitably lead to disaster. He ran all the way and could walk to Hengxi Taowu Community. The sun had already risen, and the east was a pink color. At this time, officials in the capital were going to court. Shi Wanfu lamented that his future and destiny were really unpredictable. He was loyal and did not retreat and fled. He was determined to go to the capital to plead guilty and accept the punishment. In order to be alert and pragmatic in doing things, later generations did not learn from Shi Wanfu, who had great skills. He was lucky, took it lightly, and made a big mistake. He renamed the village in Taowu Community "Taohong Village". To this day, there is still a "Sunrise Village" beside the village. Pink” sculpture.

Besides, the ministers were surprised when they did not see Shi Wanfu in the early morning court. Because he was the leader of the military generals, and he did not arrive in the early morning court, the generals were naturally in chaos. Some ministers accused the emperor of being disrespectful. The emperor knew that he had some magical powers, and the villain slandered him that he had ambitions to usurp the throne. Since he did not attend the morning court today, he could be killed. Therefore, the emperor immediately issued an edict and sent troops to arrest him, claiming that he would be killed without mercy if he resisted.

Officials who were close friends with Shi Wanfu knew that he was upright and had profound magical skills, so he felt sorry for him, so he secretly sent his trusted aide to tell him the inside story on the way and advised him to leave the capital quickly. General Shi hurried back home, preparing to flee Shitang Village with his family. But Shi Wanfu's magical bamboo stick couldn't work. He was helping the old and the young, and the pursuers were already pressing down. He couldn't help but raise his voice and sigh, "I, Shi Wanfu, are in danger, and it's over today!"

At the moment when he was exhausted physically and mentally, a white light flashed, and Taibai Venus appeared in front of his family. Shi Wanfu fell to his knees and shouted, "Master, save my family's lives." Taibai Jinxing told him to quickly kill a black dog raised at home and skin it to make a raft. The family would stand on the dog skin raft, which could help the family leave.

Shi Wanfu made a plan and stood on the dog skin raft with his family. Suddenly he heard the wind in his ears, and the dog skin took the family into the sky and flew straight to the south. When they reached the main peak of Hengshan Mountain, they suddenly saw the mountain peak blocking their way. They saw the dog skin raft rushing towards the mountain peak like an arrow from the string, splitting through the mountain. The middle of the mountain peak opened up, and one peak split into two peaks, forming the current peak. "Shuangjianshan". The dog-skin raft carried Shi Wanfu straight to the Three Gods Island in the East China Sea. Legend has it that Shi Wanfu was originally an immortal descended to the earth, and he was ranked among the immortals on the island, and he started to be his happy god again.

During the escape, Shi Wanfu’s artifact bamboo stick was left in the mountains. It is said that the large forest later turned into the current ten thousand acres of bamboo sea, becoming a natural landscape for people to relax and sightsee. The former residence of Shuangjinshi Wei Jiahua

The deep coffin pit of Wei Jiahua greatly damaged the vitality of the earth veins. Within three years, the chickens in the village stopped barking and the dogs stopped biting. Later, someone poured the blood of a black dog into the tomb. The village was able to regain peace.

The Wei family has lived in Nanjing for a long time. It is the head of the eight major families in Nanjing and has a very prominent reputation. At that time, there were thousands of acres of fertile farmland and mulberry fields in Taowu, Hengxi Street. The processing and storage of agricultural and sideline products were also done in Taowu Dazhuang. The land and water transportation here is very convenient, and it is an important agricultural and sideline product production base for the Wei family in the south of the city.
