Cruze valve cover failure phenomenon?
The damage of Cruze valve cover chamber shows that the damage of Cruze valve cover leads to unstable idle speed. When the engine is idling, the throttle position sensor shows that the opening is 1%, which is inconsistent with the speed, and air enters the engine from other ways. You can hear the sound of air leakage from the valve cover. Upon further inspection, it will be found that there are two vent holes on the valve cover, corresponding to the position of the crankcase vent pipe, which is hissing and leaking air. Precautions for replacing the bonnet are as follows:
1. When replacing, clean the contact surface thoroughly. Stick if you can, because it will last longer, and it is ok not to stick, depending on the owner's own wishes;
2. The engine must be completely cooled before it can be replaced;
3. When installing the valve cover, tighten it diagonally several times. After fixing a screw, fix the screw at the opposite corner. This can prevent uneven stress on the valve cover pad.
