How to raise begonia flowers (on the cultivation method of begonia bonsai)
I. Soil
Begonia grows in slightly acidic soil or neutral soil, which requires loose soil and good drainage. There must be a big drain pipe under the flowerpot.
Second, light.
Begonia has a good shade resistance, so it is very suitable for keeping indoors. Generally speaking, it is enough to put it by the window. About five hours of scattered light every day can make it thrive. Be careful not to be in direct sunlight, or its leaves will get sunburned. In the case of insufficient light on cloudy days, it can grow well with some light.
Third, temperature.
Begonia grows in a warmer environment, so it needs to be kept warm in winter, and the indoor temperature should be kept above 10 degrees, otherwise it is easy to get frostbite.
Fourth, water and fertilizer.
The growth of begonia needs enough water, but its roots are very afraid of waterlogging. Generally, it is watered after it is completely dried. It is watered once every five days in the growing season, less in winter, and liquid fertilizer is poured every 20 days in spring and summer.
Verb (abbreviation of verb) matters needing attention
Don't choose too big flowerpots for planting begonia, because the flowerpots are too big, there is too much soil, and the drainage is not smooth, which will easily lead to too humid conditions, which is not conducive to the growth of roots, and the accumulation of soil will also make begonia rot. Every year or two, spring and autumn, give it a new flowerpot.
