1, eat lettuce
Eating lettuce in early spring is an ancient custom in China. According to ancient books, there was an eclipse of reeds, spring cakes and lettuce in early spring. Reed is radish, spring cake is pancake, and lettuce is a wild vegetable born in spring. Now in early spring, we usually eat raw carrots in the north and lettuce in the south.

There is a folk saying, eat radish in winter and ginger in summer. Beginning of spring is a time of communication between warm and cold.
