Brief introduction of dragon boat festival spirit

1. The origin of Dragon Boat Festival

At the end of the Warring States Period, Qu Yuan, a native of Chu, was a poet who read many poems and a great politician. Unfortunately, he was weak and unable to reform, and was exiled by the king of Chu twice. Finally, after hearing the news that Chu was defeated by Qin in Jiangnan, he joined the rolling Yangtze River.

Qu Yuan loves the people as a son and is a corporal of rites, so he is deeply loved by the people in the south of the Yangtze River. Knowing that Qu Yuan jumped into the river, people went to save Qu Yuan. People with good water quality paddle boats on the river to find salvage, and some people pour realgar wine into the river on the shore. Because people were afraid that the dragon in the water would swallow Qu Yuan's body, they poured realgar wine into the river and drugged the dragon in the water.

But I haven't found Qu Yuan's body after searching for a long time. Later, a dizzy dragon surfaced. People saw that there was only a skirt of Qu Yuan on the beard of this dragon. People were furious, so they skinned the dragon, pulled out its tendons and made it into bracelets for children to wear.

Although his efforts were in vain, Qu Yuan was eventually swallowed up by the river, so people designated this day as the Dragon Boat Festival to commemorate Qu Yuan.
