What is the mentality of prisoners being locked up?
However, criminals who have been held in solitary confinement understand a truth:
In prison, even if you are a lion, you should surrender. Don't pretend to be a big-tailed wolf here, or the brig will wait on you!
The detention room I have seen is about 5-6 square meters. Only a few tens of centimeters high cement bed and a deep pit. Nothing else. After the criminals are locked in, the lights are on for 24 hours, and the police are watching you with surveillance cameras in the duty room for 24 hours.
In this room, you don't have to go to work or read the news or newspapers. You just spend your time thinking about life and do nothing. At most, you can stand up and stroll around a few square meters.
When it's time to eat, someone will bring you food outside. If there is not much food, you can't be hungry. After eating, put away your chopsticks.
Someone gives you a bedroll when you sleep and takes it away immediately when you wake up during the day. No one talked to you from the beginning, just let you reflect on yourself.
Besides, whether it's 40 degrees hot or MINUS 10 degrees cold outside, you're sitting alone in it. ...
At this time, you can't die if you want to, because there is no sharp rope-like object in it, so it is difficult to hit the wall and die, because the police are watching you at any time. ......
In this environment, most people will collapse after staying for a week or so. If you have a big temper, well, I'll give you another week ... I really want you to shut up and cry. ......
Compared with the environment where other criminals eat, train and work together, the latter should not be too happy.
Of course, most of the criminals who are put in the brig are those who fight, defy discipline and contradict the police. If you commit a crime and go to prison, you will be reformed. If you want to take it to prison, you will die miserably. ...
When I was in Liuzhou, I just came back for dinner because I just went in and was a stranger. A wild child may have been in it for a long time. He always gives me a hard time and reports me stealing cigarettes while shooting stones. I don't think this is the way. Can't you suffer all day? The more you think about it, the angrier you get. Why don't you get back at him and teach him a lesson? I walked up behind him with a packed lunch box and smashed him to pieces, because it was so sudden that my head was blown off. The prison guard immediately came with an electric baton and knocked me out. When I woke up, I found myself lying on the smelly and wet ground. Only the small iron gate is lit. The small room, including the toilet, is less than two meters long and one meter high, but I just can't stand straight. There is nothing in it except little Mu. And it's hot in summer, but the room is low and humid, and it's cooler. Even sitting on the board, I have no place to sleep, and I pat my flying mosquito brother who has been with me for half a month all day to relieve my anger. It's like a few years in it, but it's not winter, otherwise I don't know how to die here. But I was trained to worry about mosquitoes in the confined room, because when I came out that year, my brothers said that I slept without mosquito nets, and I was bitten with mosquito nets. Besides, you don't have to work in the brig. When it's time to eat, you just can't get out when someone delivers food and water. If you are hungry in a stinking room, there is nothing you can do. It's only been half a month Out of the brig, everyone is twenty years older and stinks.
Let me talk about how I feel about being confined. At that time, I was only 17 years old and very frivolous. 1993 was confined for decoration fighting in the second half of the year 15 days. There is a cement bed, a faucet and a squat pit in the confined room. This room is about 2 meters wide and 3 meters long. The first door and the second door are separated by 1.2 meters, and the sun is shining. I'm going to climb the window and look outside. Help me bring some snacks, cigarettes, instant noodles and candles in with a stick. Another person will help another person climb the window and pass things with a stick. You can imagine how high the window is. Melt candles on cotton and cook instant noodles for firewood. It's okay. Read the magazine. All of them were found by prisoners. Half a month later, when I walked out of the brig, I felt the ground right under my nose. I slammed my foot and stepped on it hard, which made me dizzy. So I walked back to the squadron with one foot high and one foot low. This is the legendary dizziness, and everything else is fine. I just got dizzy when I saw the sun. It wasn't long before I was transferred to the province for transformation. The discipline cadre said that your fish is bigger than ours and our pond is a little small. I can put you in the reservoir. I moved from a place with more than 600 people to a place with 4000 people. It's really a promotion, and it's not convenient to see me at home [covering my face] [covering my face].
I use my practical experience to answer. When I was serving my sentence in Guangyuan prison, I was locked up four times in a small space. The stride is only two steps long, 1 meter wide ... eating and drinking Lazar are all in it. I put my shit in a small bucket. Pour it once a day, and every meal is steamed bread, which is basically oil-free and salt-free. If you are thirsty, you can ask the police to pour you a glass of water. For months, you didn't wash your face, bathe or brush your teeth in that small space! The deepest experience is a word (static ........................................................................................................................................... ............................: I can't hear any outside voice. It's like being alive but buried in a coffin. This is a living dead person! That kind of loneliness will remind your mind of growing up, Imagine from now to the future ............................................................................................................................................... .................................................................................................................................................................................. They are wearing thin chemical fiber prison clothes, and their bare feet are cracked ... sometimes they take a nap ... blood flows out along the cracks and sticks to the cold concrete floor. Only they can feel the terrible pain. They are cold. It's boring to move a few times, but it's too cold to move .................................................................................................................................................... Hey! ! unforgettable ...
Confinement is very expensive. Let me share my friend's story with you.
A friend of mine once spent three years in prison. He told me about his confinement experience.
He said, inside, there is no way. Because prison is a big dye vat, everyone has it. And in prison, everyone is depressed, so over time, people will be in a bad mood and have a bad temper.
For a time, he felt that their group leader had a problem with him. The team leader has several pieces of meat in his bowl, and there are only two pieces in his bowl. So he felt uncomfortable and asked the team leader what was going on. Who knows the leader of this group? Did he just say, dog? Eat as much as you give. So he stood up, threw the bowl away, and was about to fuck him. Before he could, he was taken away by other comrades. Later. He is grounded. Deduct a lot of assessment points, don't shop, don't call and a series of measures came.
I asked him how he felt. He said that the brig is really not a place for everyone to stay. The environment is dark, the space is narrow, and there are some pungent smells. He said that the biggest feeling is injustice and why he has come to this step. Then I think impulse is the devil. I used to fight on impulse. I still don't know how to control my emotions, and I regret it very much. Then I thought it was ridiculous to fight with others for two pieces of meat. Of course, there are still some concerns. I don't know what punishment I will get, how much it will affect my commutation, and what my family will think of me if I don't call back. Wait a minute. Anyway, it's contradictory.
So he came to a conclusion: take a step back and be calm for a while.
It's hard to be a man without going to jail. In the place with dual employees, it is a place where the law of the jungle and the hierarchy are strict. If you were an insole, there would be ten thousand feet on it. If you were laurel, everyone would hold it. This is the only rule! When I went in completely blind, I always wanted to get along honestly and not cause trouble, but this idea was naive, and the resources in that place were scarce. A pack of cigarettes and a pack of instant noodles are all calculated. At first, I tried to play dumb to avoid trouble, but later I found that the situation was wrong. I found a reasonable stubble to beat the battalion chief, sewed a small square stool with more than ten stitches, and kept strict confinement at the same time. I stayed with him for fifteen days and wrapped a gauze. The two earth rings are handcuffed to the left and right hands with two handcuffs respectively. When sitting on the ground, your left and right hands can hold your mouth, and there is a plastic basin at your feet for easy use. Two meals a day, one and a half bowls of cold water, and pour your own urinal at noon. It's winter, and I almost froze to death the first night 1. The next day, a captain of the strict management team opened the door to chat, only to know that it was just around the corner. They were all heard of but never dealt with, and they were sent in at noon. A big pot of tea and a box of cigarettes every day solved the big problem of pickled mustard tuber and instant noodles, and then it was boring and there was no time. Singing when I woke up, I thought it was quite useful. I don't have to work, do morning exercises, and so on. I really want to go on holiday. It took half a month to arrive, and the days changed completely after the captain took it back. I successfully took more than 10 thousand sentences. It's almost fifteen years in a flash. Oh, yes, I stayed in the detention center for three months. In short, some people can't escape in this life. It is lucky to experience it earlier!
When prisoners are confined, they only have animal instinct, hoping to eat and drink enough, end the punishment of confinement as soon as possible, and return to normal prison reform life.
Prison and detention center are two different state institutions, and prisons are managed by prison administration and judicial bureau. The detention center is under the unified management of the public security department. Those who violate the criminal law and have not been sentenced by the court will be temporarily detained in the detention center, and those who violate the prison rules will be punished more severely.
Because the detention center is originally a closed and narrow space, there is no such thing as confinement, but the punishment will be better than prison. Here I will focus on the deterrent effect of prison imprisonment on prisoners and their mental activities.
After 16 months in Shayang Reform-through-Labor Farm, Hubei Province, his spirit has been honed, and he has changed from resisting reform to actively reforming, and he has been commended many times at the prison commendation meeting.
Several reform experiences and future reform directions written by myself have also been published in prison newspapers and periodicals many times. And I not only got the qualification of commutation, but also got the promotion of "level"
I was promoted from a group leader who managed 32 prisoners to the instructor of the "training team", responsible for supervising the special reform and punishment of these prisoners by the training team. "Training Team" is another name for "confinement", which is different from ordinary confinement.
I have always known that there is a training team and I have contacted many prisoners who have come back from the training team. When I asked them what the place was like, they just shook their heads and told me that it was not a place where people could stay for long. Nobody wants to go again. If you want to know something, experience it yourself.
On the second day of my promotion as an instructor, I got into the police car of the Judicial Bureau with my packed luggage and handcuffs, and came to the training team. This is a piece of ground separated from a large prison area, which is as big as two basketball courts.
Surrounded by a row of bungalows made of red bricks, each room has many small windows, such as windows instead of square holes, which are smaller than an adult's head, and there are two thumb-thick threaded steel bars in the middle of the holes.
This place is the residence of the members of the training team, and I live here as an instructor like them. At this time, I regret it a little and feel cheated. The accompanying prison guard took me to my residence, which was a bungalow on the side.
There are two prisoners sitting on the bunk bed. When they saw us coming in, they immediately stood up to salute the accompanying prison guards and shouted "Hello, police officer". The other two are also instructors of the training team. After knowing each other, they introduced me to the situation here and the tasks we need to be responsible for every day.
Everything is arranged. It's lunchtime, and the canteen is pushing the delivery truck. We called 28 members of the training team, who were standing at the penalty station on the playground, ready to start cooking.
These people are about 20 to 50 years old, and their faces are also annoying people in society. In particular, several of them were covered with armor tattoos, and the criss-crossing knife wounds extended from the chin to the arm.
Although wearing a short-sleeved prison uniform, I can still see it clearly. If you don't look them in the eye, who dares to provoke such a group of people to go out and break into society?
"Prepare, have dinner" They quickly picked up the plastic bowls placed under the eaves, and some bowls even contained falling dirt and dust. 28 people only have 14 meals, and each meal is only 2 Liang. None of the children can eat enough.
One or two meals a person, a scoop of salt water soup, and then stand on the playground and start eating. Every one of them is soaked in the sun, but they still have to stand until everyone has finished eating before they can go to wash the dishes together.
And now we three instructors just take out the food prepared for us separately in the kitchen and start eating. All meat and vegetables are fried. Twenty-eight pairs of eyes stared at the food we ate, and some even drooled.
On the first day, I thought it was time to talk to them, otherwise it would be really difficult to manage in the future. "What are you looking at? Didn't you just eat? This is just the food for ordinary prisoners in prison. You are not ignorant. Why are you being treated like this now? Why are you in this place? You should know better than me. "
Speaking of which, I lit a cigarette and smoked it in their envious eyes. I shouted to them, rested for five minutes, and then began to train for running. Taking this opportunity, two of them bent down and walked towards me. When it was three meters away from me, I told them to stop and not to come any closer.
They said, no other meaning, just ask me if I can give them a cigarette butt, which is better than having fun. There's really no way. I looked at the cigarette butt in my hand, threw it on the ground and stepped on it with my foot. Regardless of the conditions, go back to the queue and start training.
As they walked, they looked back at me with fierce eyes, as if I were their enemy of life and death.
Actually, I have to do this. I was assigned a task before I came here. The purpose is to stimulate these prisoners who do not obey the prison management. You won't get anything you like. You are a heavy smoker, but you can only watch, not smoke. You like to fight and make trouble, so you are hungry every day, strengthen physical training and consume your physical strength. This is the purpose and task of training the team.
Running back and forth in the hot sun, half an hour later, through observation, I found that several prisoners were really exhausted, so I asked them to stop and drink water. Ordinary cold boiled water made them drink freely like nectar.
I lit another cigarette, but not many people watched me smoke at this time. They just want to drink more bowls of water and stare at the stainless steel bucket in front of them. However, water is also limited in time. Well, continue to train on the playground, and now start practicing walking forward.
In this way, I have been training until the afternoon meal time, and the meal is the same as noon, or two meals a day. There is no breakfast for the training team members.
After dinner at six o'clock in the afternoon, they can sit for half an hour, but they must sit on the playground and watch the news broadcast. They must look forward with their heads held high. There is no training at night. After the news broadcast, all members stood in a row under the eaves and didn't rest until 12 in the evening.
The advantage of standing under the eaves is that you can lean against the wall and save some energy. After all, you trained all day, which actually gave you a chance to be lazy. While they were washing, I called two buddies who asked me for cigarette butts at noon.
Give one of them a cigarette, and they froze. I said, smoke quickly, others saw it. They quickly squatted down with their backs to the monitor and sucked hard. They can't stand for a long time. I know, I was dizzy. Didn't you ask me for cigarettes on purpose in front of so many people?
Maybe I will join your team. How long have you been here? Is it so interesting every day? I don't smoke every day and I don't have enough to eat. Don't you want to leave this training team early?
I thought, who wants to stay here? Isn't this because of the fight in the prison area before? We thought it was detention. We just stayed in a dark room and didn't go out to work. Who knows that this is the case, although there is no labor, every day seems like a year.
We just want to eat enough food and drink enough water every day. We dare not think about breaking the rules any more. We just want to leave here early and live a normal prison reform life. Fortunately, we can return to the team in a week.
Speaking of which, they stamped out the half-smoked cigarette butts and put them in their pockets, hoping to keep them for next time. "Take it out and throw it away," I said angrily, looking at them. What if I find it when I search the prison room? Are you trying to implicate me?
Reluctantly handed over half of the cigarette butts, let them follow the team back to the brig to rest and cheer up to continue to accept tomorrow's punishment.
You served your sentence in prison because you did harm to others and society. It is natural for you to accept labor reform and ideological reform. The country gives you a chance to turn over a new leaf in prison. Not only are you ungrateful, but you also resist the reform and undermine the order of prison reform. Then, the state machine will never tolerate you.
It's the dragon who wants to curl up and the tiger who wants to lie down. No matter how powerful and arrogant you are outside, you can't help but bow your head here unless you never want to come out.
The author has been on duty in prison for many years. Let me briefly introduce this knowledge.
First question, what is the brig like?
The brig is a reinforced concrete building with two meters square, an iron gate, a 20 cm square window, a toilet hole, running water and lighting. The walls are usually pasted with rubber materials to prevent criminals from committing suicide.
The second question is, who has access to the brig.
Generally speaking, those who can enter the confinement room are criminals who have committed serious violations in prison. Common, such as fighting, leaving the joint number, disobeying management, plotting to escape, destroying production tools and equipment, etc.
Third question, how is life in the brig?
Life in the brig is still good. I don't have to work. Three meals a day, someone on duty. The standard of eating should be lower to prevent the three highs from having special effects. Wowotou, boiled pickles. About half an hour every day, you can come out from the iron gate to the fresh air area and see the sunshine.
The fourth question is the legal procedure of confinement.
The confinement of criminals who violate discipline requires the police on duty to apply, and the prison area, prison area, functional departments and prison leaders sign and approve. The general term is about a week, and the longest is no more than one month.
The fifth question, the deterrence of confinement.
The deterrent effect of confinement is still great. No one communicates in it for 24 hours, the scope of activities is strictly limited, and life is not bad. Most violators will admit their cowardice within three days.
The sixth question is the other effects of confinement.
Confinement means that criminals are in serious violation of discipline. Needless to say, there will be points deducted. Its direct impact is that commutation will be affected. What has been declared can be withdrawn. In addition, the examination and registration of confined criminals should be reduced, and accordingly, the amount of consumption is limited, and interviews and home phone calls are also affected.
The seventh problem is the mentality of the detainees. Of course, I don't care. I just go in. I will admit my cowardice in three or two days, take the initiative to talk to the police, actively admit my mistakes and check my repentance, and strive to go out one day earlier.
There are lights in the brig. The trumpet only closes one person, and the tuba closes two people. The trumpet is only three square meters, with a cement platform for sleeping, a urinal for defecation, fresh air once a day (emptying the urinal), a meal twice a day, a mouthful of porridge (actually rice soup), a corn cob (two grains), starting at six in the morning, and a bite of rice soup and a corn cob for dinner around five in the afternoon. Opening the door in the yard, I dare not open my eyes. Cover your eyes with your hands for a while, otherwise the sun will be dazzling, there will be no lights in the brig (no electricity, fear of suicide), loneliness, loneliness, hunger, death in summer and cold in winter. Alas, it's not for people to see. Fleas will grow all over your body.
The mentality of confinement is to go out early and return late, and never come again.
Confinement is one of the most severe punishments for criminals who resist reform and seriously violate prison regulations, second only to aggravated punishment. No matter how fierce and arrogant the crime is, it will be cleaned up honestly and obedient in a few days. At the same time, it also acts as a deterrent to other prisoners.
Generally, the detention time will not be too long, not more than half a month. The sub-prison area can only be executed after being signed by the warden. And kept wearing equipment, handcuffs and fetters during detention. No-leisure rooms are generally underground, and the space is very small, only two or three square meters. The tall man can't even straighten up in it. There is a bed and a toilet in it, which is smelly and dirty. There is no sunshine. It's very cold in winter and mosquitoes fly around in summer.
During the stay, all interviews and shopping stopped. I have to get up at five or six in the morning, stand and start going back to prison, and don't move until nine in the evening. Only two meals were given halfway, both of which were only half of those of normal prisoners. Every day when you pour the toilet, you have a chance to let out the air. Sometimes the police forget that not only the air can't be let out, but also the toilet stinks.
In addition to detention, the commutation of that year was also ruined, and all the previous assessments were invalid and had to start again. This kind of punishment is the biggest blow to criminals.
Therefore, any prisoner who is put in the brig will regret it very much. After this severe punishment, he will never violate the prison rules again and make a down-to-earth reform. After all, every criminal wants to reduce his sentence and is eager for freedom.
