The path of Lianjiang entering the sea is: Baishui Village-Hanma Reservoir-Chaoshan Plain-Liushapo-Baikeng Lake-Baimaxi-Chaoyang District-Haimen Sluice.

The main stream of Lianjiang originates from Baishui Village, Yangmeiping Village, southwest of Wufengjian, Dananshan, Puning City, Guangdong Province. The source gap is large, and waterfalls often form in rainy days. After leaving Hanma Reservoir, it enters Chaoshan Plain, where the water flow is gentle. After flowing through quicksand, it flows to Baikeng Lake in Huitieshan, flows eastward to Baimaxi and Liuyinghui in Danianshan, enters Chaoyang District in Huitangkeng River in Shigangshan, and exits the South China Sea through Haimen Gate.

Lianjiang section is divided into:

1, from Baishuiqi to the north, flowing through quicksand, turning east to Shigang as the upstream, with a length of 38.8km and a flow area of 508. 1 km2, which is in Puning;
