Wafangdian city (managed by Dalian City, Liaoning Province, ranking 27th among the top 100 counties and cities in 2009) is located in the central and western part of Liaodong Peninsula, between 39 20' and 40 07' north latitude and12113' ~122/kloc-east longitude.
