Poor students visit Wuhan on May Day
Wuda Bin is adjacent to the East Lake. You can go there in one day. Entering from the front of National Wuhan University, you can visit Laozhaishe, Laowu University Library, Maple Garden and Cherry Garden. It is just outside Lingbo Gate. You can go there by car. Botanical gardens, pear orchards, etc. East Lake is very big. You have to take a boat to go to Moshan. It is also very good to stroll around East Lake. There are weeping willows around the lake, there are Xingyin Pavilion, Jiu Nu Pier, Yuyuan, Carp Pond... They are all free. There is also a park at the gate of East Lake Liyuan. There is a bird forest and an ocean world. If you come out of the old gate of East Lake, you will not be far from the Provincial Museum.
Come down from the Yellow Crane Tower and go to Minzhu Road at Simenkou, which is Hubu Alley. You can go shopping and eat delicious food. Shouyi Garden, Red Building, and Yangtze River Bridge are also very close. I don’t know if you are interested. If you have time, you can take the ferry to Zhonghua Gate. The ferry used to cost NT$1.50. You can go directly to Wuhan Pass and visit the river beach. The night view is nice. The weather is nice on May Day, so I suggest you go at night as it won’t be too hot. If you go early in the morning, you can watch the sunrise. There are rapeseed flowers in some places now. You can also go to the Dragon King Temple. A few stops ahead is Hanzheng Street.
You can go to the zoo and Guiyuan Temple in one day, both in Hanyang.
You can use your recent student ID card at the Yellow Crane Tower, Botanical Garden (402 East Lake Station), and the zoo. Remember to register your student ID card by asking your counselor to get it stamped.
Wish you a happy May Day!
