How are water lilies kept in fish tanks?
1. Prepare a large water tank. The depth of the selected container is preferably above 25~30 cm, so it can be used to plant water lilies. If the depth is more than 60 cm, you may need to put some bricks at the bottom of the cylinder to put the flowerpot in.
2. Keep the water lily in a flowerpot and then put it in a water tank. Of course, you can't get too deep. You can put some stones in the water tank and put potted water lilies in it. The water level at the top is just enough for the leaves of water lilies to float on the water.
3. You can match some other aquatic plants in the water tank. For example, I like to mix some aquatic iris, papyrus, taro and regenerated flowers in the water lily jar. Some friends even keep some duckweeds in it, and it is best to have plants growing in 60% of the whole water tank, so as to avoid algae, otherwise the pool will turn green, which is not good for the growth of water lilies. If you raise fish, it will die easily because of lack of oxygen.
If you raise fish in a water lily tank, you'd better not feed the bait often, otherwise they will be too full to eat mosquito larvae.
4. Some small water pumps can be installed in the small water tank, which is helpful for water circulation, avoiding the water inside being too dirty and preventing mosquitoes from breeding. If there are rotten leaves or dead leaves at ordinary times, remove them in time and change the water regularly. The water can't be too clean, otherwise the fish can't survive.
The location of water lily maintenance should have sufficient light as far as possible, and the environment should be ventilated and transparent, and varieties suitable for local growth should be selected.
Extended data:
Cultivation and management of water lily;
Water lilies can be planted in pots or ponds. In early spring, the pond water is drained, after applying base fertilizer, new pond mud is added, and then irrigation is carried out. Irrigation should be carried out in several times. With the growth of new leaves, the water depth of flowering period can be kept at 70 ~ 80 cm. In winter, more water should be injected, and the water depth should be kept above 1 10cm, which can make the rhizome overwinter safely.
The flowerpot selected for potted plants should have an inner diameter of at least 40cm× 60cm and a depth of at least 40cm× 60cm. Before and after the vernal equinox every year, it is necessary to turn over the pots and change the mud, and add rotten bean cake residue or fertilizer rich in phosphorus and potassium such as bone meal and hoof pieces to the bottom of the pot as the base fertilizer. The lower part of the rhizome should be padded with fertile river mud with a thickness of at least 30cm, covered with soil until the terminal buds can't reach, and then put into a pool or sink to keep the water depth at 40-50 cm.
In high temperature season, the water layer should be kept clean, and the water should be changed for a long time to prevent the growth of algae from affecting the viewing. After flowering, the stubble should be removed in time and topdressing should be done as appropriate. Indoor potted plants should be moved into cold rooms or the bottom of deep water in winter. Sufficient light should be given during the growth period, and it is not advisable to keep it in the shade for a long time.
