How to correct FOX 06 1.8 displacement and timing chain?
1. Ford's timing is not belt type, but chain type. In order to adjust the timing, the engine must be lowered to disassemble a part;
2. Completely close the intake valve and exhaust valve of the inverted splayed camshaft to ensure that the crankshaft rotates to the top dead center (top dead center of one cylinder compression);
3. Fix the groove behind the camshaft with special tools. After fixing, parallel the special tool to the cylinder head, and remove a bolt from the cylinder near the half shaft;
4. Insert the crankshaft with the special tool and turn the crankshaft until it abuts against the special tool bolt;
5. Lock the camshaft fixing bolts;
6. Tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt as required, align it according to the timing mark, and finally try to match it.
