In order to effectively respond to heavy pollution weather, the Qingdao Municipal Education Bureau recently issued a heavy pollution weather emergency plan for the education system and established a heavy pollution weather emergency response leading group.

When faced with heavy pollution weather, how do schools take corresponding emergency measures? Recently, the Qingdao Municipal Education Bureau issued the "Qingdao Education System Heavy Pollution Weather Emergency Plan". This program is applicable to all primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in Qingdao (including schools for children of foreign personnel and private non-academic education and training institutions, etc.).

According to the plan, heavy pollution weather means that according to the "Ambient Air Quality Index (AQI) Technical Regulations (Trial)" (HJ633-2012), the ambient air quality index is greater than 200, that is, the air environment quality reaches 5 Air pollution with level (severe pollution) and above (except for special weather types, such as sandstorms, blowing sand, floating dust, ozone as the primary pollutant, etc.). In accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Notice of the General Office of the Qingdao Municipal People's Government on Issuing the Emergency Plan for Heavy Pollution Weather in Qingdao", heavy air pollution conditions are divided into four warning levels. The order from light to heavy is blue warning (Level IV), Yellow alert

(Level III), orange alert (Level II), red alert (Level I). Red alert (Level I) is the highest level.

According to the severe pollution weather warning level, each district (city) education (sports) bureau and school must take corresponding emergency response measures.

When a blue alert is reached, primary schools and kindergartens shall adjust physical education classes and outdoor activities during periods of severe pollution according to local air pollution conditions, and carry out indoor physical exercises or indoor activities according to local conditions; schools shall take protective measures when organizing group outings; advocate Teachers and students should try to use public transportation when going to and from school to reduce the number of motor vehicles on the road.

When the yellow alert is reached, primary and secondary schools and kindergartens will adjust physical education classes and activities during periods of severe pollution based on local air pollution conditions. For collective outdoor activities, indoor physical exercise or indoor activities should be carried out according to local conditions; protective measures should be taken when schools organize group outings; earthwork operations, building demolition and other construction operations that may generate large amounts of dust at school construction sites are prohibited.

When the orange alert is reached, physical education classes and all outdoor activities in primary and secondary schools and kindergartens will be suspended.

When the red alert is reached, primary and secondary schools and kindergartens will temporarily suspend classes; students who do not have the conditions to take care of themselves at home or who have not received the notice of class suspension will not be allowed to attend school. For students (young children), schools (kindergartens) should do a good job in care and health protection, properly arrange the study and life of students (young children) at school, ensure that they are supervised, and take all necessary protective measures to strengthen the care of boarding students. . During the suspension of classes, all primary and secondary schools and kindergartens should keep in touch with parents and students through the Internet, communication and other channels, and provide reasonable learning suggestions; teachers should reasonably adjust teaching methods, flexibly arrange learning content, and guide students to learn independently. Children are provided with study, life and safety education.
