Fujian tulou is distributed in Fujian and Guangdong provinces. Yongding Tulou in Longyan City, Nanjing Tulou, Huaan Tulou, Pinghe Tulou, Zhaoan Tulou and Yunxiao Tulou in Zhangzhou City.

eryilou is located in dadi village, xiandu town, Hua' an county. it is an outstanding representative of the ancient dwellings of round earth buildings in China. it is known as the "king of earth buildings" and "national treasure". it is famous for its large scale, scientific design, reasonable layout and well-preserved, and is a national key cultural relics protection unit. The plaque of "Er Yi Lou" has been included in the book "Chinese Famous Plaque".

Introduction of Fujian Tulou

Eryi Building was built in the fifth year of Qingganlong (174), which was built by Jiang Shixiong, the 14th guest of the Jiang family. It covers an area of 9,3 square meters, faces northwest from southeast. The outer ring is 4 stories high and 16 meters high. The outer wall is 2.53 meters thick and the outer diameter is 73.4 meters.

The whole building is a double-ring round earth building, divided into 16 units, with 213 rooms. There are also two wells in the open space in the building, namely "Yinquan" and "Yangquan", which form the formation of Taiji. Even if the temperature outside the well is the same, the spring temperatures of the two springs will differ by one degree.

eryi building is rich in cultural connotation. there are 593 square meters and 226 murals, 99 square meters and 228 painted paintings, 349 woodcarvings and 163 couplets in the building, which are unique among many earth buildings in Fujian and rare among ancient houses in China, making it a treasure of folk art.

with its unique architectural layout, original defense system, unique structure and exquisite decoration, it can be called "the king of round earth buildings" and "the first round building in China". It is the representative of two major nationalities' earth buildings in Fujian Province. In November 1996, Eryi Building was announced by the State Council as the fourth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
