Angry to the sky—the master behind it
"Tongtian" is an ancient concept. With the meaning and evolution of "Tian", it has gone through three stages:
? 1. "Shuowen": "Tian, Dianye". This is the original meaning of heaven. "Tongtian" means opening up the top of the head. What do you rely on to open the top of your head? "Historical Records, Biography of Bian Que Cang Gong" says that in the early Western Han Dynasty, among the ten medical classics passed down to Cang Gong by Yang Qing was the "Shang Jing". "Suwen." "Bi Neng Lun": ""Shang Jing" says that Qi can reach the sky." Long Bojian's "Introduction to the Yellow Emperor's Internal Classic" states that part of the content of the "Shangjing" is still retained in "Suwen". "The Theory of Qi Tongtian" (1982). "Lingshu" also has a monograph called "Tongtian". In these pages of the "Nei Jing", "connecting to the sky" is no longer the original meaning, it is extended to the inductive relationship between ordinary people's vitality and heaven and earth. But "Qi can reach the sky" is a legacy of ancient Qi movement. "Tongtian" relies on the vitality of the human body to open the top of the head so that it can communicate with the weather in the universe. Just as "The Theory of Qi Tongtian" says: "Since ancient times, the root of life is Yin and Yang. Between heaven and earth, within the Liuhe, its Qi, nine states, nine orifices, five Tibet and twelve nodes, all connect to the weather. Its life Five, its Qi is three. "Qi comes from the five treasures of the human body, and the inner alchemy is called "Five Qi Chao Yuan". But the root of change is "yin and yang". "Laozi" said: "All things carry yin and embrace yang, and inject qi into harmony." There are three airways opening up the top of the head: the left, the middle and the right. The Taiping Jing, Dong Zhen Huang Ben Ye Final Book, and Shang Qing Huang Shu Du Ren Yi say "Left Xuan Shang, Right Xuan Lao, Zhong Tai Shang". The tantric names are left channel, right channel and middle channel. "Su Wen" said "the one who has reached heaven since ancient times", Sui Dynasty. Yang Shangshan's note: "It's called ancient times, it's also the middle ages", and "Tai Su". Notes in "Knowing the Ancient and the Present": "Fuxi and above are called Shanggu; Fuxi is called Zhonggu". Therefore, the experience of "Those who can reach the sky" summarized in "Suwen" includes the era before Fuxi, that is, the Yangshao culture period, seven thousand years ago. The early authors of the "Nei Jing" were good practitioners of "Tongtian" and "Visual Color". They inherited the theories and skills of Tongtian from ancient times. Therefore, the above-mentioned views are the only remaining classic works of Tongtian in ancient times.
Judging from the decorations on painted pottery and jade, the early Tongtian was popular in the primitive society of the Neolithic Age, during the matrilineal system, that is, about five thousand years ago, during the legendary Three Emperors era. This was The first stage of Babel. Tongtian is the prerequisite for "moving essence and changing Qi", "refining essence and changing shape" and "managing color pulse" in ancient times. "Attack Qi Mother" and "Qi-eating" are the main methods of Tongtian. Therefore, "Tongtian" is a concentrated expression of the original Qi theory. The ancient characters used to move Qi have preserved for us a lot of precious Tongtian information of this era.
Second, in the second stage of reaching the sky, the original meaning of the word "天" (天) has been extended to the "sky" of Cang Cang, and the word "qi" has also been extended to "cloud", which is roughly derived from the legendary Yellow Emperor. The "Five Emperors" period at the beginning of the era, that is, the Longshan Culture period to the Xia and Shang Dynasties, more than 4,000 to 5,000 years ago. At that time, Tongtian meant that shamans communicated with heaven from the earth.
Since "Tongtian" is only the prerogative of the supreme ruler, from then on the concept of "Tongtian" was replaced by "Shangtian" and "Changtian" in official documents, and is generally no longer used. Among the pre-Qin scholars, except Guoyu and Nei Jing, there is no citation. This is one proof. However, in order to treat injuries and illnesses and eliminate natural disasters, the activities of witchcraft and small gods still exist! The descendants of Zhong after three generations mentioned by Mr. Yang Xiangkui are countries protected by gods, such as the State of Shen. It is speculated that they still retain the ancient technology of reaching the sky; the school of "regulating the color pulse" has been inherited by folk Bianstone medicine and acupuncture medicine. Early experience of Tongtian; it can be seen that the concept and technology of "Tongtian" are not and cannot be completely banned among the people. The "Huangdi Mingtang Sutra" published at the end of the Western Han Dynasty and the beginning of the Eastern Han Dynasty has an acupoint named "Tongtian" on the top of the head. Until the fourth century AD, when Kumarajiva translated the "Five Links" in Nagarjuna's "Great Wisdom", he quoted the folk sayings of "Tianmu Tong" and "Tianmu Tong". These can all be evidenced. In later generations, "Tongtian" evolved into various levels of alchemy with different levels and different methods. Mr. Hu Houxuan said: "The gods in the Yin Dynasty were called 'Emperor' and 'God'. In the Zhou Dynasty, in addition to being called 'Emperor' and 'God', the gods in the sky were generally called Tian." (Page 31 of the sixth volume of "Research on Ancient Characters", 1975) "Heaven" has evolved from the place where the emperor or ancestral gods lived in the Shang Dynasty to the place where the gods gather. The sky and the heavenly god are synonymous, and the connection with the sky and the connection with the gods, at least It is one thing to be a God who can reach the sky. The word "Tongtian" has completely disappeared from official documents. However, in the decorations of bronzes, symbols symbolizing "Tongtian" can be found everywhere. Its essence is just the ancient "Tongtian" method. The legacy of utensils and rituals, the original meaning is only to connect with the gods in the sky.
?3. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, "Heaven" evolved to represent the natural world, and doctors' "Tongtian" developed into the induction of heaven and man. "Lingshu." "Tongtian": "Between heaven and earth, and within Liuhe, they are inseparable from the five, and humans should also respond." "Xie Ke" also talks about 27 items, such as "the joints of human limbs correspond to the heaven and earth", such as "the garden of heaven is as large as the head of a human being," "the earth has nine states, and the human body has nine orifices", etc., which are obviously far-fetched. However, from the perspective of the human body’s essence, energy, and spirit, the “physical” has been crossed out and replaced with the following “element” substance. They have retained many characteristics of the evolution of the universe, and therefore also have some similarities in some aspects of body function. , this is beyond doubt, and this article does not intend to discuss this issue.
The "Nei Jing" does not elaborate on "those who have reached the sky since ancient times", but the focus of "reaching the sky" is on the interaction between heaven and man in ordinary people. I guess they are not willing to make the Qi movement technology of "reaching the sky" public. for the sake of. Whenever the "Nei Jing" talks about the theories and techniques of moving Qi, especially high-level Qi movements, it is only briefly mentioned. Such examples are common in the "Nei Jing".
The etymology of "天"
Various schools interpret "天" as the same as "天". But why did the ancients refer to the top of a person's head as "heaven"? Xu Shenyun: "Supreme", Chen Zhu: "Showing people the highest point". The top of the head is definitely the highest for humans, but how can we say "the highest point" for "heaven". If the metaphor of "heaven" is "supreme", why not choose the top of the mountain? Luo Zhenyu said: "Heaven is above man", Wu Dacheng said: "Heaven is what man wears". Luo Wu made the theory based on the position of heaven and man, but he could not explain why the word "天" refers specifically to the top of his head. Neither of the above two statements can explain clearly the relationship between "Heaven", "Man" and "Bian".
Wang Guowei said that "Heaven" as "Dian" means "things", which is true. But it is not said what it refers to. Even philologists can't read this page and can only explain the matter as "Tongtian". In ancient times, those who reached the sky relied on their own light, also called divine light, to ascend and descend from the top of their heads to reach the gods. Later generations also called "Jingguang" the "Yuan Shen". The "Yuan Shen" can freely enter and leave the top of the head, called "Chu Yang Shen". The Yang God must open the brain palace. This place where the Yuan Shen enters and exits from the top of the head was called "Tianmen" in the pre-Qin Dynasty. , also known as "Dingmen" in modern times.
"Laozi": "The gate of heaven is open and closed, can it be a female?"
The top of the head is where human energy and weather meet; opening the top of the head to allow the light (spiritual spirit) to freely enter and exit is the only way to reach the sky. Therefore, it is logical to use "Dian", which is the top of a person's head, to refer to things that "connect to the sky", so the original meaning of "Tian" should be "Tongdian".
"Lingshu·Tongtian" is the prequel of "The Twenty-Five Yin and Yang". "Yin Yang Twenty-Five People" divides people into 25 types, which are relatively detailed. But before it, there is a rough classification method, which divides people into five types.
The title of this article is called "Tongtian". It is not recorded in "Suwen" but in "Lingshu". The third chapter of "Suwen" is called "Animation Bongtian", and this chapter is called "Bongtian", but the two meanings are actually the same.
Why does it create such a big atmosphere? Because people with a small structure, narrow vision, and low levels may not understand why the ancients did this.
For example, if you go to see a doctor and he first tells you what year it is, and then what month and weather, you will feel very strange that your own use of air conditioning has anything to do with this. But it’s actually related, you just don’t know it.
Ancient Chinese Taoists or people of the Huangdi School believed that we are as small as a grain of dust, and that there is a master behind everything we have, and this master is "Heaven".
People have many descriptions about the Lord. Some say it is the sky, some say it is Tao, some say it is an algorithm, and some say it is the universe. So what's its actual name? I think it may have been deliberately named differently to give it a scattered perspective.
Because once a certain name is formed, we will easily have a concrete association and stay away from it.
So when Lao Tzu was preaching, he said, "I don't know its name, so I call it Dao." This means that this thing cannot be called using words or words. It is a feeling, just like "I love you so hard to say." If you ask me to say what I love you, not only will I have trouble saying it, but what I say will also be false.
Many people are very good at playing games. In fact, when they play games, they suddenly have a feeling that the person charging, throwing grenades, and shooting in the game is actually not him, but the keyboard warrior. , is the person who controls the keyboard and mouse.
When we talk and do things here, it seems like we are doing it, but it doesn’t seem like we are doing it.
There is a professional name called "Turing test", which is to test whether the person in the game knows that he is in the game. If he can realize that he is in the game, then he has passed the Turing test. .
Nowadays, the characters in the game are all controlled. On the surface, the player is playing, but in fact he is being controlled by the person behind him.
What if one day the game is played by oneself, and the person next to him is just a bystander, or just sets a rough rule of the game?
If one day, while playing a game, the warrior you control suddenly turns around and says to the screen, "It's time for you to go to bed, I'll play by myself", what do you think it would be like? ? Do you ever feel like unplugging?
We can think that there may be some people (perhaps some people today, such as people who play games) who will definitely feel this way; it is also possible that some monks thousands of years ago People, they suddenly had an awareness one day, and this awareness is - is there someone controlling me behind the scenes? If so, how can we talk to him?
Why do you have to talk so much before talking about the whole world? Because the biggest difference between us and ancient people or ancient sages is that they have awe of heaven and the person who controls them behind the scenes.
First, they have awe;
Second, they try to feel, not feel. Because it is intangible, qualityless or even phaseless, you can only feel its existence with your heart and even communicate with it. This state is completely two extremes from the current state of "man can conquer nature" that we uphold.
The purpose of our dialogue is to create a communication between these two types of people, so that those who think that man can conquer nature can try to understand those of us who fear destiny. This is what we do, otherwise chickens will One mouth is the same as the duck's mouth, and a chicken talks to a duck, which means they despise each other.
Traditional Chinese medicine is known as "the most talked-about topic at the dinner table" because one person said: "How stupid you are, but you still believe in traditional Chinese medicine." And another person said: "How stupid you are, you don't believe in traditional Chinese medicine." The last two The only thing I have realized is that the other person is a fool.
What "heaven" is connected to?
The third chapter of "Su Wen" is called "Animation Connects to the Sky", which means that the animals, plants, and other living things growing on the earth have various breath energies that are connected with the sky. are connected.
In other words, if God changes his face, you will no longer exist, or if God changes, you must change with it, otherwise you will perish. This is what "Animation Bongtian" emphasizes.
Today we are talking about "Lingshu·Tongtian" in more detail, that is to say, what you look like, what kind of behavior you have, what kind of emotions you have, are you the one behind you? Controlled by "Heaven".
Does this "sky" represent time? Again, there are too many parameters. The answer to any question in traditional Chinese medicine is uncertain because there are too many parameters.
For example, when a child is watching a movie, he will ask who is the good guy and who is the bad guy, but the parents can only say that this person is a good guy and that person is a bad guy.
In fact, we all know that good people sometimes do bad things, and bad people sometimes do good things. For example, when there is an earthquake in Japan, the Japanese underworld will come out to provide disaster relief. At this time, you can't tell what is good or bad. , so a complex judgment system is needed.
Is it time that connects the sky, or energy, rhythm, and direction? In fact, it has all these, but it requires people to synthesize them. But sometimes people’s brains and logical thinking are not enough.
Teacher Wang Dongyue always criticizes a Western way of thinking called logical obsessive-compulsive disorder. One of its characteristics is that it is a single line, that is, along a line of cause and effect. But the problem is, how many things affect our lives? Something with multiple dimensions, multiple levels, and multiple time and space, so it requires a complex mind to understand.
Regarding the "Heaven" in "Lingshu Tongtian", we believe that it is the energy drive behind it through the essence.
For example, how do we ordinary people watch two people fighting? For example, in the current boxing match, we have to check the weight of the two people before the match. If they are about the same weight, they start fighting in the ring, but if If the difference is too much, you will not be able to participate in the competition.
This was not the case in ancient martial arts competitions. They did not look at weight. For example, a robber breaks into your house, but you say you will weigh yourself first and then we will fight. This is impossible.
So this method of weighing is to judge people by their appearance, that is, I will first see how strong you are with my naked eyes, and then decide whether to fight with you.
But this is not the case in life. Some people have a high weight, but they are clumsy; some people have a low weight, but they are very flexible. Moreover, when walking dogs, some puppies bark fiercely at the big dogs, and the big dogs will hide away.
The purpose of this article is to train doctors to observe people, and the lowest observation method is to look at his weight and his appearance, which is called appearance. We see through his shape and see what is behind him. This is called "reaching the sky".
We can define an antonym for "living in the sky", which is called "dead body falling into the ground". Therefore, when we measure a person, we must not use shape, because if you use shape to study a person, you are studying a dead person.
And practice martial arts, such as standing postures, Tai Chi, Xingyiquan, and Baduanjin, to develop the sense of Qi in your hands. Students of Western medicine, they study anatomy. The difference between this kind of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine is very big.
