Master Xuanhua: The cause and effect of past lives revealed by supernatural powers

Master Xuanhua often uses the power of destiny to explain some causes and effects during his lectures, so that his disciples and the public can firmly believe in cause and effect. The principle of reincarnation, such as the karma between two pigeons, the blue and white snake, the sick girl and the butcher, the parrot, etc.

1. The origin of pigeons

In 1968, 38 pigeons were released at the San Francisco Buddhist Lecture Hall’s release ceremony. Two of them refused to leave and often participated in the activities of the lecture hall. People shed tears when he explained that these two pigeons were his two monk disciples from the Tang Dynasty (750 AD). The Master named them "Seven Bodhi Points" and "Twelve Causes" respectively. "Seven Bodhi Points" are gentle in character, while "Twelve Causes" are very impatient. They often flap their wings to teach his Master with compassion and wisdom.

2. The relationship between the sick girl and the butcher

In the winter of 1988, the Master Xuanhua Hua led the "City of Ten Thousand Buddhas Dharmakaya University Visiting Delegation" to the city for the third time. Propagating Dharma in Malaysia. On November 29th, the Master went south to Bazhuba and met the believers at Juehui Zen Temple.

As expected, among the more than 40 believers who asked to see the Master, they were all sick and asked for the Master’s blessing. Among them is an eleven or twelve-year-old girl who can speak, jump, and run, but she likes to crawl on the ground. The Master pointed out that this girl was the reincarnation of a centipede as a human being. As soon as the Master pointed it out, everyone saw that her strange behavior of crawling on the ground was indeed like a centipede crawling. The Master then explained the cause and effect: This is because her mother was a "poison master" in her previous life, specializing in "spreading poisons to harm people." Therefore, the daughter she gave birth to in this life was also reincarnated using the poisonous poison she often used - centipede. Being her daughter, this disease is incurable.

The Master then expressed his deep compassion and asked believers to pay attention to cause and effect in order to avoid endless suffering in life after life. Before the Master gave her blessing, this girl started shouting and making a scene in front of everyone, "I want to go home." The Master hit her three times on the head with a cane, and she immediately calmed down. Later, the Master used the crutch to increase his strength and hit her head one more time. With a "cluck" sound, the Master said, "Quiet." The strange thing was that not only did she not get angry, but she responded with a calm smile and looked at the Master. Wave your hands and say: "Bye" (meaning goodbye). Everyone was originally suffering from illness. Seeing the girl making a fuss, the Master hit her head with a cane a few times and immediately calmed down. When she rationally said "Bye bye" to the Master, everyone forgot about it. After feeling the pain, I couldn't help but clap my hands and say hello.

There was another believer who was fat and bloated. He was also sick and sought the Master’s blessing. The Master was merciful and asked him to "put down the butcher knife." It turned out that he was a butcher who killed pigs. The Master said to him: You were a pig in your previous life, and you were reincarnated as a human in this life. Because you were slaughtered when you were a pig, and the person who killed you was reincarnated as a pig now. Now you are a butcher who kills pigs in order to collect debts. If you don't put down the butcher's knife immediately, you will be reincarnated as a pig again after your death and be slaughtered again. As the saying goes, "Repaying grievances, when will it happen?" You'd better put down the butcher's knife immediately and switch to other industries. Only then can you avoid the suffering of endless reincarnation. In the future, you should be determined to do more good deeds to make up for your mistakes, so that your illness will be cured. Then the Master also struck him three times on the head with his cane.

The same goes for other believers I met. The "mystery" is known only to the recipient. Due to the author's personal experience and observation, I deeply understand that for a truly practicing great master, "there is a mystery in the sound of the cane, and there are wonderful ways in every move" is by no means a magical thing that cannot be accomplished.

3. The origin of parrots

A few days ago was the sixth anniversary of the Master’s Nirvana. I recall that when I was at Jinlun Temple, a Japanese girl brought a parrot one day. The parrot came to take refuge with the Master. Before that, I never knew that animals could take refuge in the Three Jewels. I only knew that people could take refuge in the Three Jewels. So I thought: "This parrot doesn't know any reason why it can take refuge in the Master?"

Who knows about the Master? After taking refuge, he said: "Some people in the audience are having delusions and want to know what is the reason why this parrot can take refuge in me. Let me tell you, it used to be a fortune teller who read Feng Shui and told lies. So, After death, I fell into the realm of animals and became a parrot. Look! It has beautiful feathers in this life. I was studying Feng Shui and fortune-telling very hard, and I wanted to learn it well and put it on the market. It’s easy to make money by telling untrue quackery. After the Master said this, I realized that I would turn into an animal after death, which scared me so much that I no longer dared to learn "Feng Shui" and "Feng Shui".

4. Layman Li’s fate

On my way to the Holy City, there was an old woman in the car with me, Layman Li, who took great care of me along the way. Because of her advanced age, I cannot take care of her, but she is asked to take care of me, which makes me feel ashamed.

One day, I found that there was no bread in the big kitchen. I forgot one of the Master's rules for a moment - anyone who goes out of the mountain must go together. I rushed to the small shop outside the mountain gate alone to buy bread. Unexpectedly, layperson Li had been following me. It was six or seven o'clock in the evening, and it was very dark, so I didn't notice her. When I came back, someone told me: "Did you know? Lay Practitioner Li just went out and was run over by a car." As soon as I heard this, I felt uneasy. She must have been following me to protect me. When she died, didn't she die for me? When I went to bed at night, I also dreamed that she was crying.

Later the Master told some of her origins: "In her previous life, she was a general. Eight of his subordinates apologized to him and begged for mercy because of their defeat. Not only did he not forgive them, he executed them all. Therefore, these people, who were reincarnated as her family in this life, were disobedient and unfilial to her. The other leader of the eight people, the driver who killed her in this life, was equivalent to paying her old debt from her previous life. It’s over.”

After that, I recited several Ksitigarbha Sutras to her, and gradually, I no longer heard her crying at night. I am very lucky to have met a good teacher like the Master in this life.
