Markang - Onda Among them, the road condition of the 50KM section from Guanyinqiao to Heiqiao is poor, and the gravel road has many potholes. It is recommended that vehicles slow down and drive slowly.
National Highway 317 from Chengdu to Seda via Markang will be subject to traffic control. The control time will be from April 13 to October 30, 2016. It will be closed from 8:00 to 20:00 every day. During construction, traffic will be released every 3 hours, and normal traffic will be allowed during the rest of the time.
2. Kangding direction: Chengdu - Kangding - Xindu Bridge - Luhuo - Wengda - Seda
National Highway 318 from Kangding City Princess Bridge (K2821+252) to Kangding Traffic control is implemented in the Dong'eruo Village (K2901+452) section of Xinduqiao Town. The specific control method is that from April 21st to August 20th, 08:00 to 14:30 and 15:30 to 18:00 are fully closed traffic control periods, and all types of motor vehicles are prohibited from passing (including: every Passenger shuttle buses and small motor vehicles will be released from 14:30 to 15:30 on the same day, and all motor vehicles will be released from 18:00 to 08:00 the next day).
During the traffic control period, passing small motor vehicles can pass through Kangding Airport-Wangmu Highway, while large motor vehicles can bypass Bamei-Danba.
Most of the Luhuo-Onda section has been completed. The old Zheshan Bridge is not yet open to traffic. The road surface is relatively smooth and all vehicles can pass; then the Onda-Seda section (Sese Road) is in very good condition. , there is no problem with access.

1. Chengdu-Seda
There is a direct bus to Seda from Chengdu Chadianzi Long-distance Station. The bus departs after 6:00 in the morning (buses range from 2 to 4 on weekdays, and more buses will be added during peak seasons), so it is best to book in advance. The shuttle bus will arrive at Seda on the same day at around 19:00. If there is heavy rain, it may be delayed for three to four hours.
Seda Wuming Buddhist College is not far from Seda County. The distance between the two places is about 20KM. The shuttle bus from Chengdu or Malkang to Seda will pass through the intersection of the Buddhist College. Just tell the driver in advance to get off. , so that you don’t have to go back to the county seat and then turn back.
The intersection where the shuttle bus stops is only the entrance to the Buddhist College. It is 3-4km away from the Buddhist College and takes more than an hour on foot. The place is 4,200 meters above sea level and lacks oxygen, making it impossible to walk too fast. If you don’t want to walk, there are vans to the Buddhist Academy run by local people at the entrance. They usually leave when the vans are full.
You can choose to stay in the county town. There are many small buses going to the Buddhist Academy near the Golden Horse Square in the county town the next morning, usually 7 yuan/person.
2. Chengdu-Markang-Seda
The whole journey is about 600 kilometers and takes 1 and a half days. On the first day, I bought a bus to Malkang from Chengdu Chadianzi Station (6:30-13:30 every day, there are 5 buses, 119 yuan, about 6 hours), and stayed in Malkang that night. Early the next morning, take the shuttle bus from Markang to Seda (departs at 6:30, 68 yuan, about 6 hours).
The scenery along the way seems a bit monotonous.
Note: There are 2 passenger terminals in Malkang that are quite far apart. The shuttle bus to Seda departs from Sanjiazhai Passenger Terminal, while the terminal of the shuttle bus from Chengdu to Malkang is Malkang Passenger Terminal. The locals call them one for the upper station and one for the lower station. Be careful not to go to the wrong one.
3. Chengdu-Kangding-Seda
On the first day, take a bus from Chengdu Xinnanmen Bus Station to Kangding and stay there for one night. The next day, we drove to Seda via Luhuo. The bus from Chengdu Xinnanmen to Kangding runs every hour. There is only one bus from Kangding to Seda in the morning, departing at 6:00 in the morning. It is best to buy tickets one day in advance.
This route takes a long time, but if you have enough time on the way, you can visit several famous temples in Kangding County, such as Namo Temple (Daji Living Buddha), Vajra Temple (Ningma Sect, Dharma King's disciple Ren The first living Buddha), Luhuo County also has the Shouling Temple of the Gelug Sect.
