A process of calling out the tone of Chinese style with ps
Let's talk about the tone of this group of photos handed down from generation to generation (make sure your monitor color is correct first):
The first step is to determine the direction of color matching, so that the environment becomes darker, the characters become brighter, and the colors don't need to be too bright. To darken the environment, we need a mask, simply buckle out the characters (I drew them casually with a brush), and then darken them with curves.
Step 2: Customize the black field. Press ctrl+l to display the color scale. There is a small straw to customize the black field. Take the black area of the pupil as the black field. What if your photo has no eyes? And pick out your nostrils or something. It must be black.
All right, that's it.
Next, take a look at this:
The first step, I want to make the red and yellow in the picture a little more atmospheric, just like a palace. This color matching is a simple color matching method of lab that I learned from reading my predecessors' blog once.
Enter the lab mode, click the application picture, and the effect will be softened. The object layer A, 80% b, 30%, after application, you will find that the color of the face is too fake, so you have to cover your face with a mask or adjust it separately.
The application of image effect in lab and the soft light treatment of lab layer will get high contrast effect with texture. The negative effect on lab will restore some details and texture to the original violent picture. This is what I have used many times.
Simply using this laboratory color matching method, we can easily get the following changes:
We boys and girls like flawless skin. Actually, shadows don't need anything. I won't say much about how to wrinkle and liquefy here. Here, the method I have been pondering for years is to use a dimming brush, and the exposure is about 15%. The smaller the better, the longer it takes to adjust to find the feeling. It's like makeup and dust removal.
Similarly, this can also appropriately dilute the whites of the eyes and make them look better.
The color matching of this photo is also worth mentioning: the background.
In fact, the background is often too white. I have a good habit that all photos are taken in raw. I can directly make the highlight bar -raw 100 at the beginning of the later period, so that the hair on the edge can be seen clearly and the objects in the background can stand out. We can only adjust it if there is color, right?
Look at the arm. In fact, the original film has a clear line between black and white, that is, the palm is white and the arm is black. This can be done by using the information window, moving the mouse to the arm, recording an rgb value, then moving to the place where it needs to be corrected, then recording an rgb value, creating a new layer, using color adjustment ctrl+B to add the missing value, and then erasing the arm with a mask. Although it cannot be repaired perfectly, it can alleviate such disharmony.
Finally, I suggest you have time to look at the color matching, the feeling of high-definition color, the effect of cool color and so on. I believe that long-term repeated adjustments can always accumulate some experience. There is also a good habit to tell you: when you see your favorite color matching works, think about how to adjust them yourself, and then try them, and you will make rapid progress. At the same time, make sure that you can get the previous effect whenever you repair it again.
