Which city is Zhechuan County, Henan Province?

There is no Zhechuan County in Henan Province, only Xichuan County, which is a county under the jurisdiction of Nanyang City, Henan Province. Located in the southwest border of Henan province, at the junction of Henan, Hubei and Shaanxi provinces, it is named after the formation of baili alluvial plain in China. The terrain of the county seat is dangerous, which was easy to defend but difficult to attack in ancient wartime. Known as "the Central Plains has not fought, and the soldiers are in the background".

Xichuan has a long history. As early as 700,000 years ago, people lived here. During the Yao-Shun period, Xichuan was the fief of Dani, the son of Shun. In the Western Zhou Dynasty, Xichuan was the fief of Xiong Yi, a Chu man. During the Spring and Autumn Period, Xichuan belonged to the capital of Chu and its vassal states, and Danyang (now submerged by Danjiangkou Reservoir) was the capital of Chu.

Climate in Xichuan County

Xichuan belongs to the monsoon climate zone of transition from north subtropical zone to warm temperate zone. The four seasons are characterized by rapid recovery in spring (March-May), many southeast winds, violent temperature fluctuations, rainy days in April and frequent strong winds in May. Summer (June-August) rainfall is concentrated and uneven, with more droughts in early summer and more rainfall in middle and late summer.

Autumn (September-165438+1October) is cool and rainy, and the temperature and rainfall drop sharply in late autumn. In winter (65438+February-February), it is windy and dry in the northwest. Due to the natural barriers of Qinling Mountains and Funiu Mountain in the northwest and the two defense lines formed by the mountains in the northwest, the cold air mass in the north has been prevented from invading southward to some extent. The annual average temperature 15.8℃ is about 2℃ higher than that in the eastern part of the same latitude, and the frost-free period is about 228 days.
