Why do men in Shiyan, Hubei fabricate and spread false terrorist information?

In order to attract attention, Li, a man from Shiyan, Hubei Province, fabricated and deliberately spread false terrorist information through WeChat friends circle and making phone calls, which seriously disrupted social public order. Yunyang Branch of Shiyan Public Security Bureau reported on September 29 that Li was arrested by the procuratorate on September 28.

On the morning of September 16, the command center of Yunyang District Public Security Bureau received an alarm from many people, saying that they saw someone spreading news in the WeChat circle of friends: claiming that they had prepared 30 liters of gasoline and would drive into a department in Yunyang District to make an explosion.

After receiving the police, Yunyang District Public Security Bureau attached great importance to it, quickly launched the emergency plan, comprehensively carried out the landing verification, organized the medical and fire departments to enter the state of war, and sent a large number of police forces for emergency prevention and control. On the afternoon of the same day, the police of the task force successfully arrested Li, a Yunyang man in Shiyan City who spread this information.

After investigation, Li's behavior has been suspected of fabricating and deliberately spreading false terrorist information.
