The origin of place names
In the second year of Tang Gaozong (675), the special area was located in Wenzhou, which was the beginning of the name of Wenzhou. Wenzhou is located in the south of Wenqiaoling, with no severe cold in winter, no heat in summer and mild climate, so it is called Wenzhou.
Wenzhou was called "Dong 'ou" in ancient times, and Wenzhou was called in Tang Dynasty, which was called "Ou" or "Wen" for short. Ou is a kind of pottery. In the Neolithic Age, primitive Ou people lived in Wenzhou to make pottery. After seeing that Hong Kong is called Hong Kong, Wenzhou students invented the name YUJEU according to Ou.
