Why does Tomb-Sweeping Day eat canned food?

I was told that it was unlucky to meet Qingming on March 3 this year. It is rumored in my hometown that eating canned peaches and pillow red cloth can ward off evil spirits. Experts believe that this rumor is superstition and a misunderstanding of solar terms and folk customs. The public should not believe this rumor.
