Distribution range of yandun drum

Yandun Drum is mainly distributed in Yandun Town, some villages in nanxiang town, Hengxian County bordering Yandun, Liutan Village in Pingnan Town of Lingshan, Guliao Village and other places. There are no less than 300 drums in 264 natural villages in 20 village committees in the town. There are many drums in each natural village, and the drum in Shidui Village is the largest, with a drum surface diameter of 1.3m and a drum barrel height of 3m. Yandun Town still has the largest three-sided drum. According to the written records on the drums, they were made in 1909 (the year of Xuantongyuan in Qing Dynasty) and mainly stored in Shidui, Liu Feng and Luchang villages. The wood is century-old camphor wood or nanmu wood, which is elegant, smooth and shiny from the drum, without any moth-eaten corrosion and excellent sound quality. As for the small drum extended from the big drum, its shape is the same as that of the Yandun drum. It's just whether adults or children play drums on New Year's Eve. According to statistics, there are many smoke drums in Shidui, Sanlian, Liu Feng, Yandun, Miao Zhuang, Fengshan, He Na, Jiaping, Liu Jia, Dengtang, Dayuan, Maozhen, He Na, Silian, Sixth Bureau and Luchang.
